First time shopping at the At Home store and I'm not sure how I feel about it. They have a huge selection of everything from garden decor to wall art, pillows and kitchen supplies. The selection of rugs is extensive and filled with various styles and price points. It's definitely a great place to use as a one-stop shop for all your home decor needs. Unfortunately, there are many cons. The layout was poorly designed so there is zero flow to your shopping experience. I chose to walk the perimeter, then walk the center aisles. Unfortunately the center aisles are grouped into a couple different directions so you still can't mindlessly browse without being somewhat annoyed by how much time you're spending just trying to see everything. Another downside of the shopping experience is stumbling upon their enormous selection of rugs, only to find that everything is unorganized and unmarked. The clearance section is an absolute mess and so overwhelming that you give up on looking before you even try. Also, so much of the clearance rugs and other items in the store aren't even marked so although they say they are on clearance, you have no idea what the savings or final price is. That is true for all the clearance items in the store. I normally love a good deal but I need to know what the deal is in order to get interested. Another problem area is that the home decor that is clearance priced is often damaged. Much like other well know home decor stores that discount their damaged items, I feel it's an insult that a broken item that cant be used for its intended purpose is only on sale for 25% off. The main issues that should be addressed are the lack of pricing on their merchandise (clearance or full price), the disorganization of their rugs (side note: shopping for runners and area rugs was the entire reason I went there to begin with), and the layout. I'd definitely say the layout is the #1 drawback to that store. Oh and lastly, the bathrooms seemed clean enough but the inside of the individual bathroom stall doors was extremely dirty. It just doesn't set a good tone for the use of that public restroom. Aside from that, I did find a few fake stems for my vase at home. After shopping there today, I don't plan on returning for the...
Read moreI really like the store. Especially if you've just moved into a new home or you're redecorating it's huge. I'm talking Warehouse huge. It's just massive. It has everything from bathroom rugs, curtains, floor rugs, vases, wall decor and paintings and photos, lights and lamps, tables, holiday decor... Well I could write a book of how much stuff they have.
So what's the downside? Well first of all their prices are ridiculous despite them claiming them to be very low. And have you ever seen one of those magazines where everything is super generic but claims to be personalized? You know where everybody has the wooden words on their wall that say things like Family or Love? And they all have the blue and white bed sheets and they all have the gold framed mirror? But they try to claim how it's so very unique? Yeah that pretty much describes this store. A million things and every single one of them come straight from a cliche catalog.
So if you have the money and you want to look like a catalog house then definitely go here. I mean you can find some unique stuff if you want, but it is very difficult. I haven't had some photos of some of the things I have purchased there but it does take a little bit of seeking to find anything slightly different. I would still go back but be prepared to spend hours and hours and hours shuffling through the boring to be able...
Read moreThis store is absolutely massive and even though we decided to buy our Christmas stuff early, so did everybody else and it was a bit of a madhouse. However, despite customers clawing at the shelves, there was an abundance of stuff to choose from! I had made a shopping list of everything I wanted on the website and I was able to buy every single thing on my list. We walked out with two carts brimming with stuff! Great prices, surprisingly great quality. A lot of shoddy looking stuff I didn’t want on the website was much better quality in person, I ended up buying much more than my list.
They also have beautiful art for only $20 and a huge section of affordable rugs so we bought those too. We spent a lot of money here today but we’re now set for Christmas! This is an all-in-one Christmas wonderland. If you can dream it, they have it.
And the cashiers are very nice. Our cashier clearly looked overwhelmed by our massive haul but she took it like a champ and was very polite, quick, too!
We will...
