Friend's wedding reception got us to Sunrise Banquet Hall in Vacaville (quite a drive down from South Bay). I must say i haven't seen or witnessed a banquet hall of this dimension and so well kept and maintained across all of Bay area, which definitely got us to a great start.
Finding parking was a tad bit difficult , but that was because we got late and the lot was full given the banquet hall was witnessing a couple of marriage events on the same night. Upon entering the security at the entrance had a quick temperature check and got our names down in the event register. Following that i had to make a run to the restroom to get my tie knotted and all the last minute dress up that you always want to especially when in rush. I was definitely surprised to see the kempt bathroom (which definitely was pretty big) which was frequented by a lot of folks from both the events.
Upon doing the diligence, we entered the main hall where the wedding reception was actually slated to be. I had to take a step back to assess the size of the hall that i was standing in and as well the perfect placement of everything in there (tables, chairs, appetizer setup, stage, DJ desk and ofcourse the bar) which was laid out to perfection. The decoration was amazing and subtle in nature, nothing overly done and just perfect.
Food ofcourse was beyond amazing and the courteous and welcoming demeanor of all the hosts serving in there made it special for the guests. The hosts were there till late in the night serving the guests and made sure all the asks were answered.
If you happen to have an event to celebrate with friends and family please do keep Sunrise banquet hall in your consideration. An absolute definite recommendation!!
Hyatt place being right next to the banquet hall serves its purpose perfectly well in case you have had one too many while celebrating and want to crash right around instead of having to drive back to your destination.
Hopefully another event and another day we get to be...
Read moreLegally they shouldn’t be operating an event space if it’s not ADA accessible. We choose the Pavilion which is across the parking lot and under construction and has a trailer bathroom set right outside the hall. We were promised by Arch the main ballroom hall will be open after dinner to use by our guests and of course it wasn’t. We had several babies/newborns and it was difficult getting the stroller in the bathroom since there was no ramp and it was sooo small. Also, no changing table for babies. People kept tripping since it was dark outside and several elderly guests had difficulty going up stairs. guests heels were caught on the stairs since there were holes on the stairs. You shouldn’t be in business if you don’t have a proper bathroom for your guests especially for the amount we paid for a hall that doesn’t have a bathroom.
Second, the AC didn’t work properly and it was sooo hot in the hall, to the point all the doors were left open and they brought a blower to cool down the place and some people would have rather just sit on the curb. Your security guard told one of our guests if they take the plate outside “Allah wouldn’t be pleased with them” which is completely out of line.
I feel like this hall is a work on progress and we were just used a a guinea pig to test everything out it’s not fair for the amount we paid for and the service we received, especially from ARCH and her staff.
Some of the outlets didn’t work in the hall for the vendors and they had to move spots. And the coordinator from the hall told my sister there way too many vendors and she wanted them to leave the space, she was so rude!!

Read moreSome time ago, I met with Kamal, who was genuinely nice, easygoing, and flexible. We were excited to host our family parties there, but it quickly became clear that he has hired some truly terrible staff with appalling customer service skills. When it came time to book and organize our event, Arsh was an absolute nightmare to work with—so difficult that we seriously considered canceling the entire thing. Both she and the woman working the day of the event left us feeling utterly disappointed and stressed on what should have been a joyful occasion.
They made everything a hassle, throwing tantrums while we had to put out fires during the first half of the event instead of enjoying ourselves. Our family spent the night trying to handle issues to avoid stressing out the bride, but it was a losing battle. For instance, they failed to provide adequate lighting for the trailers outside, causing our guests to trip and fall. We were promised access to the bathroom in the main hall, but when our guests with young kids and elderly family members walked over, they had the doors locked on us.
The poor vendors we hired were treated like trash by the event organizer, who rudely demanded they move their equipment. Overall, I would not recommend hosting an event here if you have to deal with these two staff members; they will do everything in their power to not be helpful and set up barriers just because. On what should have been a happy day, all they had to do was help us realize our vision and make it a happy day, but instead, they actively worked against us. Sadly we tried reaching out the owner to voice our concerns before writing a review because I understand it is a business, however there has...
