📍Meat Carnival - Vallejo I recently went to Meat Carnival which is super unique + fun dining experience in the Bay Area with unlimited meat + wine! You eat everything with your hands and don’t have a plate or utensils while you’re eating. There are multiple hand-washing stations setup all throughout the venue for you to wash up before and after trying things at different food stations. The event features multiple stations throughout the venue with many different chefs that prepare different meat, fish, flatbread, sandwiches, and more. Each station changes throughout the evening, so you can definitely fill up on all the meats and foods all evening. The event is 6:30-10pm, 21+, not pet friendly, and has parking on-site. There are 2 bars serving up 3 types of wine at each and of course the many different rotating meat stations. Overall it was such a fun + unique experience and I think it would be a great way to experience dining in a new way! 🥩 Thank you to Meat Carnival for having me! 🫶 #meat #brisket #bbq #meatlover #meatlovers #steak #lamb #chicken #flatbread #wine #chardonnay #winelover #winewinewine #winelovers #winetime #winebar #meatcarnival #bayarea #bayareaeats #bayareafoodie #bayareafood #sffoodie #vallejo #mareisland #allyoucaneat #ayce #allyoucandrink #unlimited #datenight #unique

If you have never been to the island, plan a trip. One day excursion and you will learn A LOT about the first Navel Base on the West Coast. The golf course is the oldest west of the Mississippi. Walking down the tree lined streets will take you back to the mid 1800s...with the historic everything! Houses, captains quarters (mansions, in excellent condition), lieutenant's houses and then old cement bunkers on the other side of the street. Beyond the bunkers are full funtioning dry docks restoring ships. The Chapel is a must see! It could be an all day history lesson or a quick drive through a period of time...or park here and take the ferry into San Francisco. Mare Island is the first stop on the ferry. You'll always get a good seat and...

In my early 20s, 1979-81, I worked out of Mare Island for a subcontractor. I loved working there since it was only 45 mins away. But I never really saw the island. I go there. Through the guard stations. Go on board the ship I was working on. Then go home. Went back last weekend with my grandchildren. Took the tour Our tour guide was great. Loved St Peter's church. Kids saw a couple of ships in dry dock. They loved it. Sadly, I didn't get to the cemetery. Will have to try again. But worth checking out and learning the rich history of Mare Island. On a personal note. It's a little sad to see it now, though. I remember what a busy live area the docks were. For me it was almost like a ghost town with a...

I suppose I could rate the land mass known as Mare Island. Nice piece of land. No residential areas on the actual former military base area, just commercial and industrial businesses. Decent view. Roads are unconjested so it's easy in, easy out. I heard about this traffic control company that has a yard based out there called WBE. Which is why I'm familiar with the area. An excellent traffic control company by the way. Very proffesional and excellent employment opportunities with advancement on hands on skills, document filing, customer relations, equipment maintanence, and real world applications. Definitely a go to for all your traffic control and...
