Our visit today was a treat for all senses. The artwork so different, so special. These artists are visionaries, and if you visit, you will most likely come home with a treasure or at the very least, some wonderful decorating ideas. The Mercato is an eclectic artist cooperative tucked away near the Venice Airport . This hidden gem has something for everyone. Marie the proprietor welcomed us with a smile and a hearty “ good morning”! The staff is wonderful and give off a great vibe. Go to the Venice Mercato and thank me later!

We stopped in the other week and looked around the Mercato before heading out of town for a few days. My wife found something really cool and I told her she should buy it, but no she didn't. So we leave and go out of town with this little gem on her minc and she started to google it and read more about this little watch. The watch is called a woman's purse watch and made back in the 1930"s. Well she said I should have purchased the watch and she was like when we get back I would like to go see if they still have it. Sure, we are only two hours away in Clewiston fishing a tournament so why not. The next week we drive back over and sure enough they still have the watch and she was able to purchase it. They have lots of interesting pieces at the Mercato and if you are in the area do stop in and shop local with them. But do yourself a favor and make sure to purchase those items and not have to go back for them. You may not be a...

What can I say!! If you find yourself in beautiful Venice, Florida......during season......you HAVE to check out the Venice Mercato!!! Held monthly during season......if you can imagine it....you will find it here!!! Decor....big and small...clothing....vintage and cutting edge....artists selling their treasures under the roof of one giant warehouse!! Often......you can be sipping coffee, juice or mimosas and nibbling on a cookie or two while you shop!!!
