This is a well maintained community park. Unfortunately visitors with dogs (either away or locals) do not pick up after their dogs. The park is friendly enough to provide tie poles but not doggie bags. Visitors should be more considerate to bring their own if they are going to use this park for their enjoyment. As for the park itself, it is a great picnic area. Playground is built for small children. The pirate ship is good to play on. The kids enjoyed pretending to be pirates. I noticed this place used to have a zip line at one point. I assume it either costs too much to maintain or some carelesser got hurt and had to be removed. Either way, thank you for the thought of providing joy to children and visitors. It's appreciated. Parking around the park is free from 6am-10p. Walking distance as it's next to the beach. Has bathrooms and rinse shower. By the way, we did not see and "dogs business" on any grass or play areas. The dog comment is from walking to the park near the street and observing locals walking their dogs with no signs of "bags".

This is such a beautiful park right by the sea and it's a wonderful treat for those of any age. We take our little puppy soon here almost everyday to enjoy the scenery. We always end up meeting someone nice too butπ The paths are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers alike. They have renovated the play ground for the wee ones, which is great fun and it's free. No charge for parking. You can do just about anything at this park. Fishing is abundant from just about any side of the bay or the ocean. I know that during the summer they offer several programs for children and young adults. There is sailing, surfing and a variety of other activities for you to choose from. It's also a great area for getting a good walk or run in. The park is definitely dog friendly and there are dogs there all day throughout the week. Our puppy loves to explore the docks, chasing squirrels, birds and lizards, and often ventures down to the water. Marina Park is one of the nicest parks on this side of town and we are so blessed to live so close to it.

A clean and fun park with many amenities. There is a decent sized free parking lot as well as some street parking. The large grass area is great for picnics and family gatherings, flying kites, or playing with friends. There is a large play pirate ship at the sand for the kiddos. We saw many people bring their dogs here. There are also dog bag stations throughout the park. A meandering sidewalk leads you to the beach, dunes, or out along the peninsula. There are areas for fishing harbor side and ocean side. There are also plenty of benches throughout the park and along the sidewalk path. Great for relaxing and watching the sunset. The city does a great job of keeping up the park.

I'll make Thai quick and simple because googlers love me and my short but accurate reviews π€ Get there early. I'd say at least 9AM. Earlier is better β The parking area is huge, but if you go any later, you may have a hard time looking for a parking spot. βββ Tables for a picnic β If you go any later, you might not find one, so just bring your own portable table and you'll be set β Pls bring a portable tent! β Rinse area β Female and Male restrooms β Make sure to bring a jacketβββ it can get cold even if it's 90 degrees. Bring cash if you want to try street snacks such as elote (corn), ice cream, and more! β Most of all, don't forget to have fun! π Enjoy! π€

This is a beautiful park that has the Pacific Ocean on one side and the entrance to Ventura's marina on the other. There is public beach access from the park, as well as many picnic tables and benches from which to enjoy views of the ocean and marina. There is a large grassy area in the center of the park where easy-ups can be set up or a frisbee can be tossed. The main walkway is paved and meanders between the ocean and marina. At the end of the walkway, there is a breakwater that the brave can attempt to navigate. The temperature is cooler at the beach than farther inland, so dress appropriately.

This is a great place to go with kids. You have the park and the big ship along with rocks to climb and a small beach to swim at and build sand castles. Very busy on the weekends and the parking fills up. There is a very large open grass area great for flying kites but, probably only during the week. This place gets filled up on the weekends with tons of BBQ's and Birthday parties. The play area has swings, slides and lots of climbing features good for 1-10 y.o. or whenever kids stop going to the playground lol. The playground has nice soft matting. Another great ventura park.
