Read moreA+. A+. A+ Could not have been a better beach. We went 5 times in a 2week stay. Easy to find, great huge safe parking lot steps away from playground & beach, clean deep sand, lots of places to set up your family "spot" & still see your kiddos in the surf, protected area where waves come in due to close location of a jetty, big enough waves to jump them &/or boogie board, fresh water shower available on your way back to your car & the BEST part... Lifeguards are on duty!!! I felt great knowing lifeguards were there if we needed them. Suggestions: bring grocery sack for your trash, wear & bring sunscreen & a hat, bring drinks & snacks ( didn't see anyplace on beach with food), buy bright boogie boards to keep an eye on kids ( ours $20 ea @ Big 5 Sporting Goods) bright green was the easiest color to see in waves/sm groups of wave jumpers. Wish I had a bright green hair tie on my daughter-in-law all heads look alike. Bring 2 liter of reg water to wash off feet before getting in car, med trash bags great for sandy toys & towels, big $1 drop cloth plastic tarp saved my car from sandy chairs & such- made clean up at end...

Either way, thank you for the thought of providing joy to children and visitors. It's appreciated. Parking around the park is free from 6am-10p. Walking distance as it's next to the beach. Has bathrooms and rinse shower. By the way, we did not see and "dogs business" on any grass or play areas. The dog comment is from walking to the park near the street and observing locals walking their dogs with no...
