Big Red's Treasure Chest CT — Attraction in Vernon

i said "oh wowwww" when i walked into this place. it's packed with knickknacks, tchotchkes, and odds-and-ends. if you're an acquisitive goblin, an "ooh-shiny" magpie type, or even just a silly lil guy with silly lil whims, this is your kind of place.

it's giving independent thrift store vibes. cds, dvds, vcrs/dvd players, jewelry, knick-knacks, dishes, small pieces of furniture, nascar memorabilia, paper ephemera, antiques, and tools stuff. not everything is priced, but what i saw that was priced was priced reasonably. when i had to request prices for a couple items, both the lady behind the counter (who was so nice and funny; i want her to be my friend!) and the owner were friendly and accommodating. i paid $14 for a giant antique framed lithograph, an oversize vintage decorative ceramic ladle, and one (1) robert palmer cassette tape.

needless to say, i had a blast and made out like a bandit. i honestly can't wait to go back! this is a fun place to come and just poke around. like if you have kids, bring your kids here and let em pick out a $2 dvd, then get pizza next door. then to the packy for...

My children & I went through a fire this pass tnxgivin. So I couldn't go brand new. I came here. Movin frwrd Morgan the owner told me he had one for $650. Moving frwrd I pated someone $80 to deliver & $100 to bring it upstairs. Well the case was it couldn't go through the hallway dr. I called Morgan & he told me he would try 2 get it in. But couldn't. So he came to pick it up & had it for like a week in a hlf. I told him he could keep $60 for a small leg tht had fell off during the process of trying to get it in. He gave me $450 out of $650 I gave him & strtd to yell @ me while he was doing it. I asked if I can have store credit for the remainder bal. He yelled @ me saying no. He had no fellings wht so ever. There’s a lot of cool stuff to look at here, but a lot of stuff isn’t priced. Many bins around the store just filled with stuff no prices or signs on it.
