Say I Do Bridal — Attraction in Verona

In all my 50 years I think I’ve only written one horrific review and it pertained to horrible bedside manner of a doctor. Well let me say that the horrific bedside manner of that doctor was a dream in comparison to the product & service of this bridal store. My daughter the bride, her maid of honor & 2 bridesmaids as well as the mother of the groom all purchased their dresses here and NOT ONE was the right size nor was the service provided after that acceptable! My daughter & two of the girls from the bridal party live a distance from the store so they chose to get alterations elsewhere. When my daughter tried on her bridal gown at the store it was huge! We were advised by Adrianne that “well we needed to order it that big!” I had to pay huge dollars to revise the dress in order to fix it to where my daughter felt it was beautiful for her big day. The bridemaids…..one, who had the alterations done there, had lost a lot of weight and the dress was still so small that had to add a panel in it! And charged her! And the service she received at every visit was horrific! And ditto for the mother of the groom! The bridemaids dresses were SO bad that I had to buy all new dresses for them 2 weeks before the wedding. SAY I DO was advised of all that has transpired and not one call to the bride or myself, the mother of the bride, to try to rectify any of it. Adrianne actually advised the mother of the groom that they dropped the dress line that my daughter’s bridal party sellected because of sizing issues….well if you know that why not call your customers and rectify it with them???? I was going to give the owner a call prior to writing this review, but why??? We received no such respect, why should I respect they??? In other reviews you will see a common theme as far as service….I beg you to take them serious! They truly are quite nasty at your follow up appointments than just blame it on being busy. ...

Truthfully, the only good thing about this store is their variety of dresses. The rest is downhill. Originally from NJ, I flew in for the weekend to go dress shopping with my mom, 2 sisters, cousin, and my mother in law who flew in from the other side of the country. I made an appointment to try on wedding dresses first, then to let the girls try on some bridesmaid dresses. They were helpful with the wedding dresses, but then completely disappeared to go help other brides when it was time for my bridesmaids to try on dresses. While I understand they weren't necessarily brides, I made this appointment months prior to all of us flying in, so I was quite disappointed. My bridesmaids had to help each other get into the dresses and no one was of assistance.

Since they carry Dessy dresses, I went back with my 2 sisters when we were in town for my bridal shower a few months later. We called ahead and the owner said to come in. When we showed up, she just pointed us in the direction of the dresses and left us completely alone. I helped my sisters put on the dresses and never once did she come back to check on us. Once the girls decided on which dresses they want, we went up to the counter so they can be measured. The owner measured both of the girls to know their size for future order while on the phone and barely gave us the time of day. The size she told my sister to order was 3-4 sizes larger than her regular size. My sister questioned her and she haphazardly measured again and said nope, I'm correct. When the dress arrived, it literally had to be cut in half and completely reconstructed.

Super disappointed...

1000/10- Dress- Say I Do Bridal Verona NJ - I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! The owner Adrienne,the staff and the seamstress are all wonderful! They have a great selection! I was never rushed and my family and I were encouraged to look through, grab and try on everything in sight! I was never pushed into anything and everyone was so kind and personable! They were even willing to call in a dress they knew I liked but loaned to another store. I didn’t even need it in the end, but they are wonderful! They have good prices and were very upfront about them. Also on one occasion there was a bad accident and I really got held up in traffic I called stating I’d probably be late and I was willing to reschedule if need be, they were so kind and told me not to rush for my appointment my safety is the most important and they would make it work!
