From the moment you step inside Woosmash, you’re hit with the scent of sizzling perfection and the kind of energy that makes you feel like you’ve just walked into a local legend in the making. Tucked away like a secret only the coolest food lovers know about, Woosmash doesn’t just serve food—it slams down flavor like a mic drop.
Let’s talk about the food first, because wow. The burgers are next-level. I’m talking seared-to-perfection patties with a juicy center that could bring a grown foodie to tears. The buns are toasted just right—cloud-soft inside with that golden crisp on the edge—and the toppings? A perfect symphony of texture and flavor. Whether you go classic or try one of their signature smashes (the “Woo Special” should be a national treasure), every bite is a knockout. Even the fries feel handcrafted by the gods of crunch—crispy, golden, and never shy on seasoning.
But what truly sets Woosmash apart isn’t just what’s on the plate—it’s who’s behind it.
Enter Woo, the owner, the chef, and quite possibly the kindest soul to ever wield a spatula. Woo doesn’t just run the place; he lives it. He remembers your name, your favorite order, and somehow makes you feel like you’ve been coming there your whole life—even if it’s your first visit. He’s the kind of person who checks on your table not because it’s his job, but because he genuinely cares if you’re enjoying yourself. Watching him glide between the kitchen and the front of house, laughing with regulars, high-fiving kids, and offering free dessert to someone having a rough day—it’s clear: this place is built on heart.
The service at Woosmash reflects Woo’s energy—friendly, fast, and flawless. The staff move like a well-oiled machine, but always have time to chat, smile, and make sure your meal is absolutely perfect.
In a world full of cookie-cutter burger joints, Woosmash is something rare: a place with soul. The food is unforgettable, the vibes are warm and welcoming, and Woo himself? A hometown hero in an apron.
Final verdict: 10/10. Come for the burger. Stay for Woo. Return forever because it...

If you haven’t been to Woosmash, drop what you’re doing and go — seriously. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a menu that mixes Korean flavors with classic American comfort food, but I’m officially obsessed.
Let’s start with the Bulgogi Smash burger. It’s everything you want in a burger — juicy, savory, tender — but elevated by that sweet-salty bulgogi marinade and the tangy kimchi. It hits you with flavor in every bite and leaves you wanting more.
Then there’s the Woo Signature — a beast of a burger with bold, smoky richness. The jalapeños add just the right amount of heat, and the aioli ties it all together perfectly. It’s the kind of burger you dream about later.
For sides, the Corn Ribs are a total game-changer. Charred, seasoned just right, and incredibly fun to eat — imagine elote meets BBQ vibes. Way more exciting than your typical fries.
Speaking of which, don’t miss the WooShake — I went for the strawberry, and it was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Not too sweet, just right to cool you down between spicy bites.
And the surprise star of the drink menu? The Korean Mixed Coffee. Cold, smooth, and with that nostalgic Korean vibe that pairs surprisingly well with a savory meal. It was the perfect pick-me-up to end the meal.
Overall, the experience was great. Chef Woo truly cares about his customers and what he delivers shows that. His flavors impresses everyone but even more so — his hospitality which makes you feel like family. Chef Jaimie and Noura are also great. Thank you for a great experience and even better burgers.
From the marble countertops to the creative flavor pairings, this place is a vibe. Whether you’re a foodie or just craving a seriously good burger with a twist, Woosmash delivers. I’ll be back —...
Read moreWoosmash is a gem! My wife heard through the grapevine that a Korean burger joint opened in Verona. I thought it was just going to be another bulgogi burger place, and as a Korean who doesn't like bulgogi, just rolled with it. I was very wrong.
The patties were great. The texture reminded me of shake shack but less oil and a lot cleaner flavor.
I was about half way done chowing down my triple patty signature when I caught a hint of something. Started picking it apart and noticed the subtle Korean flavors. It started with the realization of Korean pickles, 오이지. The owner (great guy) then told me about the soy sauce jalapenos, 장아찌, and soy bean paste caramelized onions (miso not daenjang because "daenjang is too strong" [on the soybean fermentation scale]). It was just the right amount of Korean flavors in a burger to satisfy my two, month long cravings for Korean food and a good burger.
If there's any doubt, I ordered a second burger after I finished my first. Sorry for the ugly picture but only remembered to take one after a couple bites of the second. Take it as a testament to the flavors and allure of the burger.
We also ordered the corn ribs, soy sauce & garlic wings, and fries. The fries are awesome. The texture and flavor are on point. The wings are more traditionally sized vs bonchon, but I prefer the higher batter/sauce to meat flavor ratio. The flavor was also way better. The corn was good and a cool form factor.
To sum it up, everything was delicious with flavor combinations and textures that only highlight the effort and skills of chef Woo.
I'll be back. Thanks for...
