I'm highly disappointed. I waited to make this review as I wanted to give some time, but it has now been 20 days since I was told that I would be refunded for our stay and still no refund. I want to start off by saying that Mary, the front desk lady that checked us in as well as got the manager the next day was amazing. However, the hotel itself was, simply put - DISGUSTING. My husband had to fix the toilet as it wouldn't flush. Next we went out and purchased food so that we could stay in and being a "luxury' hotel at 150$ a night, one would think they would be able to spring for microwaves in the room. I mean, most hotel rooms have microwaves at least. So after ordering doordash so we would have at least something to eat, we go down to wait in the lobby and was in the lobby for at least 10 minutes there was not one single person in the lobby at all other than us. Not a person behind the desk, no security - NOTHING. Next the jacuzzi (& ONLY reason we decided to stay at this place) barely even worked (like 2 jets didn't work at all and the others barely even moved the water) and with no one on duty at the desk who was going to fix or move us to different room? So completely disappointed the 1st night. Get up, take a shower that the choice of water is either freezing cold or boil your skin off hot. Get our stuff out, make sure room is picked up and all dirty linen is in a pile to make housekeeping life easier, go to check out and there is only one working elevator that we had to let go by twice because the staff decided check out time was the best time to move large equipment therefore taking up all the elevator space and making guest carry all their luggage down the stairs of which in the one stairwell there was a full dirty a** diaper laying there. That was the straw the broke the camals back for me & I said something to Mary (who was AMAZING) who got the manager, Norm (I think but not 100%) but taller older white gentlemen with grey hair came out from his office and spoke with me. Said that he was going to refund me immediately after hearing how horrible our stay was. Not only did I not get refunded they didn't give me my 50$ security deposit back either. WOULD COMPLETELY AVOID THIS PLACE...
Read moreVery dated rooms, ice machine on our floor was broken and obviously had not worked in a while! So I went from the 2nd to the 3rd floor which took a long time, like 15 minutes. Obviously the elevator was not operating properly. One of the service ladies walked up while I was waiting and said that you have to push the up and down down button both to get the elevator to come to the 2nd floor. I don't know about the other floors. Doesn't sound like a safe condition to me. Then we asked about the restaurants at the casino, hoping to get another great steak like we did last year. The front desk said that only the Asian restaurant and Bella's were open. So we said ok we can do Asian. When we got to the casino, which is not really walking distance to the hotel, Bella's was the only place open. I passed on getting food there. My wife ordered beef quesadillas, but got ground beef soup, dumped in a tortilla with sporadic cheese scattered around with no seasoning. If you can't make a quesadilla, you should find another line of work. So even after that we were going to stay and gamble a little while but first we wanted a drink. After searching for a bar we were told that they only had 1 bar and it was downstairs. So down the escalator we went. Guess what! No bartender! The second biggest money maker in the building wasn't functional! That was the straw that broke the camel's back! And when we went to go back upstairs to leave the up escalator was also out of order!!! Last year when we came this was a fairly well run place, not Vegas standards by any stretch, but this year it is a disaster! I have been in casinos all over the US, East coast, Gulf coast, Midwest, west, west coast, Reno, Tahoe and Vegas, more than a few reservation casios, this is by far the absolute worst! I don't see how they will stay in business. They have competition up and down the river locally. If I were one of the other owners, I would make sure I was way better than this place and make sure everyone knew it! We leave in the morning and will never return to the establishment! By the way the folks that work here that we dealt with were friendly and helpful! They are not...
Read moreI stayed here twice for business where I thought I was getting a good value and some Choice Hotels points at a PENN Play destination but the first time wasn't great and second time was worse - enough to not go again. The hotel is worn down, beat up, and then patched and painted over one too many times. My second stay room, 711, had head hair on the bathroom floor, beard (or pubic?) hair in the shower, dried splatter of toothpaste and Lord knows what else on the vanity, the carpet had dirt and dust everywhere like it hadn't been vacuumed, And the dresser and desk looked clean but had film on them left over from whatever rag they must have used to wipe them off. Also, the chair was worn too. The sheets smelled like too much bleach (probably trying to get the smoke smell out because they allow smoking here) but at least they appeared to be clean from what I could tell. I felt like I couldn't put my stuff on anything except the other bed because I had a 2-queen room (except they appeared to be only full/double-size) and the water was so chlorinated that when I got out of the shower I smelled like I had just gotten out of a swimming pool. The worst part was, I was bold-faced lied to by the concierge. I asked the front desk if they could help me print something since the business computer for guests was out of order (another bad mark). I was told by one of the women at the desk that both printers were down - the guest one and the one at the front desk. I stepped aside and finagled what I needed digitally onto my iPad instead, and then went to check-out. While the other woman was checking me out and asked me if I needed a receipt, the same woman who told me both printers were down said that if I went to the casino, they ought to be able to get me a copy. Meanwhile, the woman checking me out reached down and, lo-and-behold, the printer worked! Must have been its 'lucky day' I guess...đ Interestingly the Best Western 5 minutes away has better reviews than even the Holiday Inns in the area. I have status with them too. If I have to come through this way for work again,...
