It has a baseball diamond! It's across the bridge from the playground.
Playground equipment is fairly new and in good shape. Bathrooms with drinking fountains are available on either side of the bridge.
There are two picnic/dining sheltered areas are also on either side of the bridge, so it's great for parties.
There are multiple nice trails. If you're on the playground side of the park, take the left trail BEFORE the bridge, and it will lead you to "killer hill" (great place for sledding) and then over another bridge to another baseball diamond. Keep going on the trail and eventually you'll find black raspberries to the left, if they're in season. Keep going and you'll go under a bridge and come to where the trail crosses a road. At the other side of the road is a mulberry tree (not as sweet and tangy as the black raspberries, but still good). Keep going and the trail passes the backside of a Dairy Queen and goes into a foresty area (with lots more black raspberries in there). Go a little further and you're at the lime kilns....
Read moreRotary Park is one of my favorite spots in Menomonee Falls for relaxing outdoors. The park is beautifully maintained and stretches along the Menomonee River, making it a scenic place to unwind. I especially love bringing my hammock here. There are plenty of sturdy trees with just the right spacing, so it’s easy to set up and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Whether you’re here for the playground, a picnic under one of the shelters, or just a walk along the river, there’s something for everyone. The park is spacious, rarely feels crowded, and is perfect for an afternoon of reading, napping, or just soaking in nature. Bonus: the park hours (from 6 a.m. to half an hour after sunset) mean you can catch both sunrise and sunset if you plan it right.
Highly recommend Rotary Park if you’re looking for a relaxing spot to hang your hammock, have a picnic, or just enjoy...
Read moreWhat more can you ask of a park?! It makes for a great home course for the MFHS Cross Country team and practice grounds for them as well. Has a playground for your kids with bathrooms conveniently located adjacent to this playground. The Menomonee River runs straight through the heart of the park and gives a great sense of nature, and the park is undeveloped with respect to industrial use (which is great!) One of the largest and greenest parks I've been to. Not to mention 'Killer Hill', the ultimate sledding hill for any child who likes a rush!...
