🇺🇲The Indiana Military Museum is a fantastic collection of war history artifacts from WWI with some present-day items. Everyone is greeted with a WWII Era C-47 airplane along with many others displayed where you can walk up and take a closer look. We were there on a day honoring and recognizing Vietnam Veterans. There were several food vendors and some reenactments going on in the back acreage. This museum was featured on the television show American Pickers. The collections here are astounding, and so are the dedicated volunteers who are constantly updating displays, giving tours, and taking in donations of militaria to the museum. 🎁The gift shop is right inside the main building, so you can easily pop in and grab a gift or two without having to pay an admission. Current pricing is: Adults $5 Veterans & Seniors $7 Kids 5-17 years old $5 Children under 5 FREE

Read moreIt is an amazing place, especially being only 2 hours away from where I live. My family and I really love military history coming from a military family and to be able to see some of the vehicles that were in many of the wars and actually be able to touch some of them and get close was pretty awesome. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful and even some of the volunteers walked with you to give you lessons and talk about different items which was really awesome. We went during the World War I reenactment event and got to see a lot of really interesting people. The reenactment was really fun, and getting to walk through the mock trenches and pick up spent casings from the rifles was really cool. I was told that they have a Memorial Day event where all the running vehicles tanks, trucks, and and cars get brought out in a parade. Makes me want to plan just to see it. Highly recommended if you are really into history of the military and the military...
Read moreA spectacular museum! The breadth, depth, and detail of the exhibits was amazing. While we did not expect the museum to be jam-packed as it was with all manner of fascinating pieces from the past 170 years of American military history, it was a great surprise to see it all! In particular, the larger annex that holds all of the vehicles and diorama was astounding. Special thanks to the volunteer who accompanied us, giving us details and context about each of the exhibits. I loved seeing the T-34 tank - felt like meeting a celebrity! I'd consiider this a must-attend place and look forward to returning as often as am able. We were informed of upcoming live re-enactments where many of the museums vehicles will be taken out, driven, and exhibited for everyone. Can't...
