Shakers Landing Antiques — Attraction in Vincennes

Shakers Land is a good place to shop at for all "antiquers" they have relics dating back to the early 1800's. Several things there that I personally found interesting were their old maps of the United States and warfare zones,Furniture,Pottery and Dinnerware that were in very nice condition, Postcards from old locations, Old books and collectibles. Featuring a Bible from 1876! They also had a vast collection of doorknobs if your are a doorknob collector. Rock people Beware, there are so many rocks in various shapes sizes including statues, crystals and many more! They had many music records featuring The Beatles, Todd Rundren and Rickie Lee Jones. watercolor paintings littered the walls every ware that may inspire watercolor artists to paint something new! Nice stop off the highway with some selection. They have an indoor and outdoor area. Decent selection of furniture and display items. Not much in clothing or music categories if that's what you're looking for. They do have a few old radios and players. They have a decent selection of historical maps- local and beyond. It was very quiet, not many people in so we got to take our time. Prices are a little elevated in most cubicles, in my opinion. The facility was well kept and it was easy to tell prices....

I try to limit myself to a couple visits a year, because I never fail to find something I can’t live without. Shakers Landing has the best collection of antique variety in Vincennes. If you’re interested in antiques, do not pass this place up. I can spend over an hour in there without even realizing it, so make sure you’ve got some time. I highly recommend you check it out...
