Talk about a hidden gem! This park is nestled behind a group of apartment complexes. There seems to be plenty of parking available. There is a parking fee that can be paid on the Recreation.gov app.
We took our dog on a quick walk, our trail was a 1.9 mile loop. The path was relatively well maintained, with the exception of a few downed trees across the trail. Although I would consider the trail "easy" it should be noted that there is a moderately steep hill on the way back out.
Along the trail are several small streams that feed into the river below, which made for great scenery. There are a few lookouts/access points that provide views of the river, but don't expect grand vistas on this specific trail.
As far as wildlife, we were able to catch sight of a hawk resting on tree stump and a snake sunning itself. The only downside we encountered were the number of unleased dogs. I'm assuming that a lot of the local residents use these trails as their local dog walk and feel comfortable with their dogs off lead. All in all they all seemed well behaved, but if you're bringing your own fido here that detail may be important to you.
Although this was a neat find, I am going to continue exploring some of the other local trails to find ones that offer a little more side of the water...

the park goes along a river where people can fish and some people excessive here as well.
for the more adventurers there are trails for hiking with some pretty flowers and ridges to see some amazing views.
