Akers Mill Trail — Attraction in Vinings

Akers Mill Trail is a very scenic riverside extension of Palisades West Trail and an access path to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, Akers Mill Access where restrooms and a life jacket rack are located. At least three islands are visible from this bank as well as multitudes of rocks at this part of the river. I passed a few fellow hikers on yesterday's visit and also identified swimmers and kayakers in the area - probably from the East Palisades Trail on the other side of the river.
