When this theater first opened I was so excited. What a wonderful experience, being able to relax completely in oversized lounging chairs with plenty of room for all of your candy, cup holders, tons of legroom, and nice armrests, and right in my neighborhood! I even asked a manager at the time how they were able to still make money when they were selling fewer seats and he informed me that because of the type of seating, that almost every show of every movie was completely sold out, and the higher prices assured that they got the income they needed. In fact he said they were making more money than they used to. I thought that was great! Since then however, I have been disappointed each time I've come to the theater. There are never enough people behind the counter when you purchase food, and the average wait is more than 15 minutes, the popcorn has been stale, is often too salty, and either they put too much or not enough butter in it. They do have a nice selection of new food which is much more palatable even though it's still outrageously expensive for what you get. I get a better deal at Cinema Cafe and a lot more food. In addition, the last few times I've gone to see a movie, my seat has been quite uncomfortable. One of them had a tear in the seat, most of them are now lumpy and the leather has hardened, and it doesn't look like they're doing anything to keep them upgraded. In fact the last time we went, my daughter's seat didn't move at all. When I notified someone of this, they basically said they couldn't do anything about it, said I had to wait till the movie started before I could see if there was any place to move (there wasn't), came back and said they would fix it during the movie, then never came back again, and when I said something to another employee, they were short and rude with me. When they got the manager for me he said, oh yes, they just needed to plug it in or reset it and I said well why didn't they do that? Apparently the person who came to help us was new and didn't bother seeking out management to correct the issue. The manager thanked me for my input and apologized, but never offered any kind of compensation. I stood there looking at him waiting for him to say here, have a couple of free passes, or here's a gift card or a free popcorn, something. But no, he just stood there and said once again, thank you for reporting the problem and then walked away. I guess it's time to start looking for another theater where my money at least goes to a...
Read moreThis could be one of the best theaters in the area. I live by this theater and go there every other week. I love the reclining seats! That's the only great thing about this theater. I am one that likes the cold, but finds that this theater likes to keep the temperature a little too cold (60's). Make sure to bring blankets as you will need them.
It would be great to see them improve their food stand service. I try to come at least 30 minutes before a movie as it can take 15-30 minutes to get food/drinks. It can take even longer if you want a free refill of your Large drink/popcorn. Why not install a few vending machines for water, drinks, and candy! I'm sure it would improve sales as most people skip the concession stand so they don't miss their movie. There are many times I need to get a bottle of water for my son or wife and have to wait 15-30 minutes in line! This is ridiculous. It's a shame that service is so poor, as they've added a lot of great items to the menu. It's just not worth the eating there when you have to miss most of your movie to get refreshments.
Also please do a better job of cleaning the theaters. Some of the theaters smell like a moldy old rug. Not sure what's going on in those theaters, but the smell can be a bit overwhelming.
Now that AMC has reclining seats we will probably start going back there again. This location is poorly managed (just try speaking with a manager and you'll see) and I'm doubtful it...
Read moreWe have a premium membership and have never complained nor had reason to complain as staff is usually proficient, and the facilities are clean and welcoming; however, on our recent trip, we were met with a slow, unreasonable staff. We waited in line for 20 minutes while other lines moved much more quickly. Some people may suggest that we could move to another, faster line, but we all know how that goes if concessions is busy; the other lines inevitably slow, so we stayed in our line. There were two people ahead of us and it took 20 minutes to reach the counter. While standing there, we observed how painfully slow the employee moved. I asked to speak to a manager ( I know, I hate saying it as well) and much to the managerâs credit, he argued with me about the employeeâs speed . When he asked what they can do about it, I told them the two other folks (floaters, I assume) could assist, but they argued saying they have been helping. All I needed was acknowledgement that this is an inconvenience and how can we make it right? None of that took place, so I am fuming with no other recourse but to make a ~negative comment. Clearly, this doesnât happen often, but when it does, perhaps the staff could be more empathetic. I see customers every day in my retail job, and if they are dissatisfied (within reason) we will explore ways to...
