Bazil Newman Riverfront Park — Attraction in Virginia

Loved hitting these trails! 🥾 The easy access to water for fishing was a blast—perfect for casting a line and chilling. Plenty of shaded spots gave us a great break from the sun, and the boardwalk sections were a cool touch. 🌳 Everyone we met was super friendly, adding to the relaxed vibe. The trails are simple and welcoming for all, making it a breeze to explore solo or with friends. Birdwatching here is awesome—spotted some gorgeous ones flitting around! 🐦 It’s the ideal spot for a laid-back walk, fishing, or just hanging out and enjoying nature. Nice place for a walk to the riverfront. It's about 1/4 mile from the parking lot through the golf course to get to the river. If you want to bring a watercraft such as a kayak, you'll need to carry it through. There's a paved path most of the way and I did not see any launch site for boats. It's fairly rocky...
