Escape from Pompeii — Attraction in Virginia

This is seriously the worst water ride I have ever been on. All the hype that you get from the queue is gone after you ride it. I was actually pretty excited for this because I have been on Journey to Atlantis which is a really good ride and this is made by the same people but overall, its terrible. You climb the medium lift into "Pompeii" and you go around one corner and a pillar falls over and flame erupts. You bend around the next corner go up a tiny lift and you go into the end drop and splash. First time I rode it I was a bit scared cuz of the ACTUAL fire within this water ride but once I rode it I loved it, the fire didn't work but I still liked it. It got better when the fire worked and I loved it. Shame it's closed during fall and winter seasons. It's slow but it's theme carries it. Also you can snipe people with water blasters (I'm a victim myself) and you can get wet from the splash if you want to feel like crap and the long line is worth it. Love the drop. Escape from Pompeii is a water-dark ride at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The ride is themed to the crumbling of Pompeii after Mt. Vesuvius begins erupting. I don't want to give too much away for those that haven't yet experienced this ride, but I will say that fire effects are used. The ride ends with a 49 foot drop that will leave riders soaked.
