We took our 4 month old Presa Canario to this sorry excuse for a dog park and I can say that you will never see us there again. Within not even 5 minutes of being there a negligent dog parent left his white Swiss Shepard UNLEASHED and UNATTENDED in the the area alone with us and walked away to his car for more than 5 minutes. Thankfully my dog stayed on the other end and didn’t approach. It was only until the owner came back with another dog that they both approached us. We were very wary of both the dogs and the owner, yet we decided to give the benefit of the doubt because one should never judge a book by its cover. That was incredibly stupid on our part. We should have judged right away. Smh. The dogs were very aggressive towards our dog Tobias. The owner seemed pleased by their aggressive behavior which is pretty messed up. It was almost like he was egging them on, wanting a fight to break out. It was then that I realized that as soon as the owner and the two dogs pulled up, all of the dog owners in the area with us got out as fast as they could and went to a smaller area. Clearly this owner and his dogs had a reputation. Needless to say we hightailed it out of there and didn’t even bother going to the smaller area. We could see holes in the fence and it was very dusty. If you ever do decide to go here BEWARE of this dog owner he is tall and accompanied by a very large white Swiss Shepard and a tiny (still aggressive) pug.
Our Tobias was so excited to meet other dogs so we did end up taking him a few minutes down the road to Turkey Hill dog park which was a great choice. After that experience we were kind of reluctant but as soon as we got to the gate we were greeted by a beautiful friendly dog who introduced Tobias to all of the other dogs who were also very friendly. The dog parents there were welcoming and talkative! They did mention that White Hills was rather notorious for neglectful pet owners. Over all I would say not to go to White Hills, I sure won’t. If you’re a caring dog parent definitely take a look at Turkey Hill Dog Park, it’s right down the road from this one and ten...
Read moreGreat park! The dog park itself is never too crowded and there's a water fountain. It's big enough to run and there's lots of free parking. The dog park is part of a much bigger park. There's a golf course, baseball diamonds, hiking trails, skate park, and playground. There's parking throughout and the whole park is pretty wooded so there's good shade. The playground has stuff for kids of all ages and is spread across 3 play areas surrounding a bathroom building. There are benches and a number of grills scattered about as well. There is a swing for special needs kids close to the parking and it's also great for little kids 😊. There's also a sand pit that can keep kids busy for a long time. Overall, great park - you could easily spend a day here if you bring...
