I have been going here since before I could walk. The path going through the park is about 3 miles long and paved very well. Great for walks, runs, bikes, just nothing with a motor. If you drive deeper into the park, you will find multiple baseball fields, street hockey rink with nets, dog specified zone where they can run around and play with other dogs, open grass fields for other activities, and a playground for kids with a sandbox. Even deeper into the park you will find a beach. There you will find another playground, indoor bathrooms with plumbing, and in the summer a Dell's Lemonade van is always parked there. The beach can be used for swimming and fishing. There are also unpaved paths winding through the forest used for mountain biking. And lastly there is a designated area for playing with remote control monster trucks and similar toys. Overall this place is great for all occasions, whether its a quick walk, long run, a family outing, or reading a...
Read moreThis place deserves five stars not for it's sheer beauty, or it's design of the land. It deserves 5 stars for it's access to so much, it's feeling of open space, and it's varying recreational capacity.
Take, for example, the 3 mile paved bike route/running loop. Or, the three athletic fields near the play ground. There is a dog park, also. The beach access with lifeguards during the summer has great West Greenwich Bay views. You can also pick one of many areas along the water to do a little fishing.
The activities are many, and the park itself is a place where people can have enough space to do what they want. Occasionally, you'll see a person using their drones, someone lifting heavy objects in some sort of intense workout, and more than your average walker/biker
Check it out, there is plenty to do. Just be wary of drivers not following the stop signs where the bike/running route crosses the road. Occasionally, there will be an impatient driver who has to...
Read moreLots of wooded area's to picnic or play sports in the ball field, but my favorite part is at the water, I love this beach, been going for years, they have a playground area for children, a bathroom and picnic tables under pine trees if you don't want to be in the sun. I would definitely recommend it for a great family day out in good weather. This is added on to my original review of the beach, I still very much enjoy going there and I hope to be able to go this summer. I do have one complaint about it though because the last time I went there they charged me to park. Being a warwick resident my whole life and living close to it I think it's wrong to charge us. If you want to charge residents from other cities I don't have a problem with that but don't let warwick residents pay for a place they've been going to since childhood. Next time I go if they are still charging people then it most likely will be the...
