Playground at 9th & Penn — Attraction in Washington

Great playground for all kids, the adults make it an uncomfortable environment, using it as a meeting social place, not adhering to the play area size recommendations so you have babies/ small toddlers in an area with older children at the big play area and parents trying to restrict the play of older children because their babies are in the way. There has been several times I’ve had to inform an adult not to touch my child because he want to play in an area designed for older children (4 years old). Today I had a guy tell me I need to parent better, when it’s his baby that is in the wrong area, that was my response . Near Eastern Market Metro and the actual historic market is a small playground with two picnic tables under trees and equipment for small and slightly bigger kids. Close to good coffee and a Bullfrog Bagels, it's one of my family's weekend go-to playground with our five-year-old. There are slides, climbing structures, swings, and a merry-go-round.
