Perfection! There is not enough time or space for us to adequately describe how pleasant and memorable our time at the duck & the peach was.
This dinner was our 15-person post-wedding reception, and so the planning began almost one year in advance.
Natalie W. made it possible and organized, being responsive and precise all along the way. Since we booked the dinner so early, Natalie gave us all the information and guidance we needed before we had to wait until approximately one month before our dinner to select our menu. We were grateful for the opportunity to come in for a “tasting” dinner on our own and then create a custom three-course family-style menu with a custom cocktail, pre-selected wines, and all other beverages à la carts. It was easy to pick because everything sounded fabulous, just like it was! We were also grateful for the flexibility in adjusting our final guest count when a change arose.
On the day, of course, the chefs, servers, bartenders, and support staff made the dinner go and flow smoothly. We were one of the first groups to arrive in the evening, finding our special table and table arrangements exactly as expected with a custom printed menu and place card for each guest. Gorgeous!
Everyone we interacted with was kind, professional, and helpful. Drinks came quickly, the courses were properly spaced, and we did not feel rushed at the end. We felt like guests of honor.
Every single food and beverage item was a major hit! Absolutely every guest made their delight known, complimenting the venue, menu, and ambiance at every opportunity.
We didn’t think they could beat the Summer 2023 dinner menu, but they did with the Spring 2024 dinner menu! Absolutely out of this world in terms of flavor, texture, presentation, complementary dishes. Winners all around.
We could never forget this experience, and we would recommend the duck & the peach to anyone and everyone who...
Read moreThis place was amazing from the phone call. I called ahead to see if they could accommondate my many dietary needs. I cannot have gluten, canola oil, sunflower oil, or soybean oil. Lauren, one of the hostesses assure me they could accommondate everything. While she strongly suggested to book a reservation, she mentioned there were some spots that are available but on a first come first serve basis. When we arrived we were seated immediately at the community table and had Ian as our waiter who went out of his way to make sure our meal and experience was perfect and it was. He was made away of all my dietary needs which was amazing not to run through that again with a different person. They were able to accommondate just as they said they would. The chef even made up for me a side dish that I could have. I had the beef wagyu which was cooked to perfection and juicy. My husband had the halibut. Now, I don't even like fish, and I thought his dish was amazing. If all fish tasted like that, I would eat fish more often. The portions were a little on the smaller side, but the dishes themselves had excellent flavors. My husband also had the parker rolls with goat butter, the hard apple cider, and the s'more bar. I didn't eat dessert, but the desserts look beautifully presented and my husband raved about it. Also, I never had goat butter before and that was also delicious. What drew me to this place is that from their info on the website said they try to source locally and organic when possibly. This is what we try to do ourselves. We love that this place adopted that as well. The food, service, and the presentation was superior. When we are back in town, we will definitely return. We also got the butterhead lettuce salad and dates too go, which of course was...
Read moreI dined at The Duck & The Peach for the first time this evening upon receiving a friend's recommendation and reading positive reviews online. Unfortunately, the service at this restaurant failed to meet such expectations. I ordered the tasting menu, which included a fish fillet as the main course. My waiter presented the dish as being completely deboned and clean so it would only feature the fillet. Upon eating the course, I soon discovered not only four regular fish bones, but a rather large side bone as well. It was evident that the latter was a mistake on the part of the chef and kitchen staff, as properly trained chefs should know how to properly debone a fish fillet.
What is even more troubling is the fact that when I brought this issue to the attention of the manager Felicia, her response was both dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of acknowledging the chef's mistake and offering a solution, she tried to shift the blame on me by saying that I should have expected some bones in the fillet. This is simply unacceptable and shows a lack of accountability on the part of the restaurant management. This is especially concerning given the high caliber of the establishment and the expectations that come with dining at such a restaurant.
Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The lack of attention to detail by the chef and unprofessionalism displayed by the manager are simply unacceptable, especially for a high-end establishment that charges premium prices. The way the issue was handled by the restaurant shows how little they care about customer service. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, I would suggest...
