Yet another beautiful waterfall on Columbia River Gorge scenic highway. View of waterfall was gorgeous , but water was freezing cold. Waterfall looks like a 2 step waterfall, view is so amazing. We could stand there and stare at it for hours.
Hike was an easy one, just around 1.5 mile. Its a paved hiking trail and very well maintained. Elevation is not too much too and is not a problem at all. Hike feels like an easy walk down to waterfall. Trail gets a little steeper after a while. So could be difficult or a bit strenuous going down or coming up at specific points. Careful though, there's poisonous oak on the sides of trail. There are very few steps in between and a small bridge. A stream of water from waterfall runs beneath the bridge. Its an amazing view.
We could get down the bridge and get into water stream. There are rocks and few of them will be slippery due to continuous water flow. Its so amazing to spend time here. We could also get close to the base of waterfall.
There's enough parking as well, so no rush like Multnomah falls. There are restrooms and picnic spots as well so this could be a very great vacation spot for...
Read moreWe visited Bridal Veil Falls on Memorial Day weekend (Saturday), and wow—it was packed. There was absolutely no parking available. We had to circle around multiple times, and in the end, my wife had to double park just so I could run down to the falls, snap some pictures, and hustle back—all within 20 minutes.
The falls themselves are gorgeous and very easy to get to. It’s a short out-and-back trail with a rewarding view at the end. You can get right down close to the falls, which is a huge plus. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to explore it fully because of the crowd and the parking situation, but I’m definitely planning to go back.
Pro tip: If you’re planning to check out all the waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge, it might be worth getting a ticket for one of the tour shuttles, especially on holiday weekends. Either that, or plan your visit early in the morning or on a weekday to avoid the chaos.
There is a parking lot, but it’s pretty limited, so plan ahead. Despite the hectic experience, the beauty of the falls made...
Read moreThis really is a neat water fall. Happy i made the short hike. The hike back out is a little tough. Just take your time. I visited early at sunrise and no one was there on Friday. I also visited about noon on Thursday. Not too crowded. Parking still available. Take the trail to the falls. Definitely worth it. Yes parking lot isntbhuge. So going on a weekend go early. We planned our trip ahead of Memorial Day. Taking the Historic Route is a great way to get to the falls now that the construction area has finished by Multnomah. There are shuttles you can take, but not sure how long you can stay at each falls or if you can take the next shuttle. If you want the best images, definitely try to hit the falls early or late so you are in the golden hour and less crowds. If you can go on a weekday even better. Yes this fall is totally worth the short hike, and you can get down to the water. It is a little steep and rocky and climb over a...
