Horrible customer service, untimely "up-sell" on games & activities when there was not enough time to complete them, insufficient number of employees to operate the stations, and no acknowledgement that we got a raw deal. Here's what happened: their phone recording said they were open until 11pm on Sundays, including Holidays... nobody told us when we arrived at 8:10 pm that they were closing at 9:00pm!! We thought we had until 11 pm. The MANAGER (we found out later) sold us on 4 lasertag tickets, 5 mini-bowling, 1 bumper car, and $5 in arcade...for a total of about $61... knowing it wasn't possible to even do all that in 45 minutes. First off, my son's lasertag number was assigned to the opposite team, so he couldn't play. The referee said he could have played if there had been another employee working the lasertag to get him another vest, but alas, they were short-handed, so he was out of luck. He did get credit toward the Arcade.
Then when we went to do the mini-bowling, we heard an announcement that there was only 15 minutes left until closing!! Upon inquiring why that was the case when the recording said 11 pm, one male employee just kept saying, "We close at 9pm today." Like a robot. I asked him why the bowling area was dark, and no score screens were lighting up... he said, "Oh, probably because we're closing." The 2nd employee (a female) I approached about the bowling & the early closing, apologized, & sent someone over to bowling. They couldn't turn the lights on, they said, because they "closed bowling 30 minutes before closing time." We didn't learn that useful tidbit from the MANAGER, either. Realizing that we had spent $61 and couldn't even do anything except lasertag (for 3 of us only), I asked to speak to the MANAGER. Ken walked up -- the same guy who "up-sold" us!!! He said he told me they closed at 9pm when we bought the tickets! I said, "No, you did NOT. You sold us on all this stuff, and we can't do the bowling or the bumper cars, let alone the Arcade -- but yet your recording said you were open until 11 pm!" He said, "Yes, I just found out it said that." Then he reached over into the lasertag area and turned on the bowling lights & scorecard, and said, "You just did bowling." I said, "Yes, 3 of us attempted to bowl, IN THE DARK, with no idea of what the scores were, and the 3rd lane isn't even responding! That wasn't very much fun!" Then he said, "You can still do bumper cars, I'll turn it on." I said, "There'd be no one in there but me!" He said, "I never guaranteed you there'd be other players!" I had a vision of myself trying to drive & bump around in there against EMPTY CARS parked on the sidelines! This was just too incredible. No customer respect, no attempt to acknowledge that we got a raw deal. He did say that he had INTENDED to go over & turn back on the bowling for us, but "it got busy" and he forgot. My son said, "Well, that's okay Mom, we got our first impression." Then Ken turned & started walking away... I said, "Wait!" and asked for our money back for the bowling, arcade, and bumper cars. Ken said, "If I credited your credit card, I'd have to charge back the whole thing, and it would cancel everything." I said, "That's okay." He said, "You'd have to fill out the forms and get a new card again the next time you came in." I said, "That will NOT be a problem." But that wasn't really an option because he wouldn't do it.
