Updated Again- 2020 (Photos Only)
Updated- 2019 I am a big movie lover and we always sit with the metal bar in front of us to be able to put my feet up. The snacks are yummy all over priced but it’s part of the experience. The seats are big ppl friendly. They slightly recline. Bathrooms are always clean, and fully stocked. I have never experienced waiting they have a-lot of stalls. Staff is patient when it comes to my elderly father placing his order each time which makes the difference to me when he’s treated with respect. I have and will keep coming back. The popcorn always tastes great; its hot, fully popped kernels, yummy butter taste. When you order a large size you get free refills which it great for our group each time. They have a self serve condiment station- ketchup, mustard, butter pump, & napkins. I think the floor does have popcorn kernels and a few M&Ms on the floor and I have had sticky floors once in a while but nothing that serious to complain about.
My Family and I are big movie lovers, it runs deep in our family. Going to a theater has always been a time for togetherness and sharing memories. One year back in 2004 we went to 41 times to the theater. We go to about 16-20 a year these days and we always choose to come here.
2017- I always have a great time at the movies. I come from a family of movie gurus and going to the theater has always been a place of good memories and this theater has been a part of those memories when it comes to the next generation of our family. My daughter and I have gone with my family many times and will continue to make more.
This place has decent prices, very friendly staff, clean floors, game room for kiddos to play while we get snacks and take our seats, they have a mini resturant lol im not sure what to call it but they have pizza, burgers, etc. Also a side note when u get a large size of popcorn u get refills free and they have a self serve butter station which I always take full advantage of.
For those night when u dont want kids to tag along they have over 21 movie showings for those u like a beer and a movie together.
I AM GOING TO SURPRISE MY DAUGHTER TOMORROW AND TAKE HER TO THE EMOJI MOVIE SO WE CAN HAVE FUN BEFORE SCHOOL...
Read moreMy rating isn’t part of this review. I just wanna come on here and say something, I see why people leave such negative reviews for this theater. When we look at place that are also part of the coming attractions business this one is really bad, you go to the ones out of state and or anchorage and you see why people get upset with how things are at the wasilla one. When some of the places have two slushy machines they have one that’s always broken, when the others all have several food options the one in wasilla is either out or like recently no oven. The ones in anchorage obviously get more business then the wasilla one and yet they can clean the theaters clean. Not saying the workers aren’t doing their job cuz ik they have janitors but they don’t have the right stuff to clean, it’s obvious the carpet doesn’t get clean so why don’t they have a carpet cleaner instead of just brooms. They make money and clearly aren’t...
Read moreGood service every time, but then again it’s the same girl every time. To the theatre itself- it’s definitely in need of a refresh and a good deep clean. But that’s hard to accomplish with minimal staff and minimum wage. Dwindling theatre sales since streaming have killed many places, so the cost cutting is more evident. I saw a movie on premiere day and there was maybe 10 people.
Another thing to note, if you’re making your choice of showtime based on the 21+ marker…it’s not true. There were several kids in a 21+ showing and they did exactly what I wanted to avoid by booking this time. Talk, open mouth sneeze, and in general make noise. It’s also the parents fault for bringing them to a 21+ showing.
That being said, I don’t hate this theatre at all. Tuesdays are 5 dollars, it’s usually empty- which is more enjoyable for me.
3 Stars for worn out seats and letting children into what should be an adults...
