The Grill — Restaurant in Wasilla

A large group, that was staying at the motel, came in for pre dinner cocktails. All good. We had a great server. The group went next door for dinner. All good. Came bar to the bar for the rest of evening for drinks about 830. Server assigned to our table was very rude, in short a …..! After no service went to bar to order a drink he came up to me and said IM YOUR SERVER! Ordered a drink and then later ordered three more for myself and friends. Had to point out to him that the drinks had been sitting on the bar. At 9:45 pm, on a Friday night, a group of 6 could not get another drink, as we were told that it was already last call, which we did not hear. In short he must just not like his job, was in a big hurry to be done for the night, and has a piss poor attitude! Too bad I’ll never be back because I’ll miss out on the opportunity to tell him I don’t want him to wait on us and I prefer someone else! To the previous female server, thank you, you did a great job and this poor rating is most certainly not...

Ordered through Doordash, and it took almost 2 hours to get a basic quesadilla and chicken tenders. Most of that time was spent 'prepping our order'. When the food arrived, it was cold, but honestly also seemed like it had been cooked previously and then reheated in the microwave. The quesadilla was on a lake of cheese, and the slices it was cut into were basically glued together in a big mess that was ripping all over the place, as whoever boxed it had stacked the pieces on top of one another. If it was made fresh, that probably wouldn't be the case. And again, it seemed pre-made and thrown in the microwave, so I didn't eat it past a couple 'test bites'. The tenders seem burnt, and again, pre-cooked and then reheated. I wouldn't eat here if your favorite cook isn't 'Chef Mike'. I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but this was GENUINELY terrible. The actual drive to delivery took very little time comparatively, so I wouldn't blame the coldness...

The staff was disengaging they couldn’t get my order right. Drinks were never refilled aka dry drinks. By the time everything was addressed by supposed manager my food was cold I never received my complete order I requested for and I was still required to pay for the meal.

They claimed that there was too many people in the restaurant for them to handle the capacity of people that they should normally be able to handle. The manager claimed that it was too busy for them the restaurant was not over packed it if they cannot handle take care of the customers than they are in the wrong line of business.

And one thing I noticed about my waitress was after I requested to speak to the manager about the issue I was having with my meal she was disengaged and stayed isolated and had no concern for my service.
