The UPS Store — Attraction in Waterford Township

2-18-24Update Now open on Sunday and a need as it was super busy with folks coming in , being helped quickly & all service with a smile. So thrilled to have this team to take my shipping items to. Excellent work ethic , attitudes and service - hope UPS recognises them as a top performing store !

Jimmy and the team at this location are excellent ! Yesterday was a perfect example - I walked in at a busy time, line was almost out the door , I thought ‘this is going to talk a while’…nope ! The team swiftly moved that line - we were all taken care of with a cheery greeting as they took our packages . When this busy they have one team member who comes to the line asking which service they need so they can guide to the best team member , moving the process along. I’ve also called to ask about a package and receive the same service - they answer questions and seek answers no matter what the situation is. It’s a mood lifter to go into that store - they work hard , complete your service and have cheer in their space that they share with you! . If I could score zero stars, that is exactly what this place would get. I asked for a shipping price on a piece of furniture. I was quoted over $1,000 to ship a buffet from MI to TX. When I informed him that this price was way, way higher than I was previously charged by UPS, he responded in an email by stating that I had no idea what I was talking about, & that I obviously had not shipped anything via freight before. Little does he know that I'm a travel nurse & I have to ship things via freight quite often as I'm constantly traveling throughout the US and I collect antique furniture. Luckily u-ship is still in business online and I was able to reserve $717 to ship 7 pieces of furniture. That's a little more than $100 per piece, which is much, much better than $1,000 cost for 1 piece of furniture! This guy was not only accusatory but he was rude, inappropriate, and unprofessional. Also as an FYI, if one store gives you a ridiculous price as this, try another store. For some reason, some shippers know a lot more than others. I was quoted less than half the price at another UPS store than I was quoted at this store. Still too high, but...

Went to the store last week to print off two copies of an invoice, two sheets of paper and some black ink, nothing special. The guy who helped me was pleasant, helped me print off my stuff, and noticing that I was in a hurry(which I thought was a nice gesture at first, stupid me) closed off the window to my email( which I used to retrieve my document) and rushed to the register. That's where he told me my total, $2!! For two black and white, low quality copies of my one page document!! I was in a hurry, and hate confrontation to begin with, I gave him a quick look and looked for my cash, alas I forgot my cash and had only one dollar on me, I offered to pay with card, which got quickly turned down in an agreement to take the one dollar I had. Having a very limited amount of time I handed him the dollar, and headed out of the door, already mentally swearing to never return to this fishy store, and assuming that that was my last inconvenience. Two days later, i have unsecured accounts trying to access my Google account from all over the world. Do not go there unless you want to pay 10times the actual amount and have your Gmail or other...
