Terrible.
I rarely leave reviews. I’m in an industry where we practically obsess over reviews and how to properly engage with keeping folks happy and keep them coming back. So I try to be reasonable with my responses (the few that I have ever left) There is a statistic in guest service and it goes like this “1 out of 26 dissatisfied people will actually leave you a negative review which means the other 25 do not tell you through conventional means, but they tell you with not spending their money and word of mouth which is far more damaging than a faceless online review) So the 1 in 26 should be received as a gift, it should be recognized for what it is and handled accordingly. Here I see the owner responding to 5 stars but not the poor experiences, why?
If you’re about customer satisfaction and ultimately their retention, should you not respond to both?
I tried the location twice. Dismal experience opening weekend - cold, soggy fries and lukewarm, tough chicken sandwich. I chalked it up to opening weekend woes. However, I gave them another opportunity on 2/3/24 and had food missing upon arriving home after a long day at work and what I hoped would have been a better experience. I ended up having to go back up to the location, wait another 18-25 minutes for the missing part of my order while my other food grew cold. I was not offered any kind of refund whether partial or in full for the inconvenience, the gas, the time and the rest of my food being cold, and my family dinner at home being broken up.
All that I was offered by the manager Jeff was for me to “ask for him next time and he would take care of me”. I’m here to say that sadly, there will be no next time.
I will not be back to this location and possibly will never look to try the brand again. I should have been offered a refund or at least a portion of my food refunded due to the inconvenience and the wait. Not “I’ll get you next time”. Jeff, there will not be a next time. First impressions matter, second impressions if given though are paramount.
Yes, I am the calm guy who doesn’t blow his stack and cause a scene at a Wingstop restaurant, at the end of the day - we’re talking about some chicken wings, there’s much bigger issues at hand in our city, in our state, country, etc.
However just because I don’t make a lot of noise while in front of you doesn’t speak to the right or wrong of the situation. In business, many things can be corrected and/or improved upon… From internal processes to employee training to how you may look to market differently however if your customer base shrinks, if your volume comes down then it can be very difficult to navigate getting that organic excitement for your brand going again and word of mouth matters more than anything else in marketing. With at least two other chicken-based restaurants minutes from Wingstop (Buffalo Wild Wings and DWC) it would serve Wingstop well to actually give some time and energy towards recognizing the negative customer reviews given before Wingstop is left with no reviews coming through as a result of having to...
Read moreI ordered on door dash 80 wings for me and my friends for the lions game. On the door dash app it wouldn’t allow me do have special instructions and said that I had to directly contact the store. I called this particular location and asked them to please have the sauce on the side. The person who I spoke with said she was looking for my order and then told me that they were too busy and I would need to contact door dash for a refund. I asked why would I need to do that when I’m just asking for a simple request again please just serve me the sauce on the side, she replied I’ll try but again we’re too busy so I cannot guarantee this. I finally got my order and indeed the sauce was on the side but for 80 wings they game me one 2 oz cup of sauce. The wings were absolutely disgusting and over cooked. I would have to say this is by far the absolute worst wings I’ve ever had. After spending $70 this was a total disappointment. It sounds like they have idiots working here and the food taste like complete ass. Absolutely zero seasoning on these wings also. I highly would not recommend ordering from this place and I am very disappointed that I...
Read moreThis was hands down one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had. Wingstop? More like Wing-STOP-EATING. I don’t know what kind of operation they’re running, but it’s definitely not about quality or customer service.
First, I waited over 40 minutes for an order of wings and fries. When I finally got it, the wings were TINY, dry, and tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. The “sauce” was barely there — just some sticky, sad smear of flavor. And the Lemon Pepper? It was basically just crusty salt flakes. Disgusting.
The fries were cold, limp, and somehow managed to be both soggy and overcooked. And that sweet seasoning they put on them? Who thought sugar fries were a good idea?
I called to let them know the order was awful, and the person on the phone acted like I was annoying them. No apology, no fix, just attitude. Cool — I’ll take my money elsewhere.
If you enjoy disappointment, overpriced food, and stomach regret, Wingstop is perfect for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and avoid it...
