I went in to buy a mattress for our RV. I met with Matt, one of the Managers. He showed me the 2 they have and he said "I do not have them in store but have 2 in Denver which we can get with a couple weeks". I told him I would have my Husband come check the out. The next day we came in, Matr was with a Customer so one of the ladies helped us and we bought the mattress. She said she would let them know to put it on the next truck as we were in a time crunch. Yesterday I was going to be in the area and called to see if it had came in, the phone was answered by Matt, I asked to speak to one of the Ladies so I could check the status. He would not transfer me, he took my info and said it looks like it's on back order and will be atleast 4 to 6 weeks as they have to make your mattress! I said ex use me but YOU & the Lady both told us that it would only be a couple weeks! He then said "Ma'am I have never spoken to you"!! I reminded him of when I came in, our conversation, etc. I also reminded him he told me there were 2 in Denver, he said he never told me that! This "Manager" is highly disrespectful & rude. He blatantly lied to me and then tried to blame it on the girl that helped us. I called my Husband told him of the disrespect & lies he said to cancel our order. I called Matt back and canceled. Be aware when doing any business with these folks as they do not tell the truth. He said there are 174 locations of Denver Mattress & thousands of sales people and he can't help the 2 available mattresses are no longer available, ONE day later.... this is absolutely the worst Customer Service ever!! **Owner: How can I get into touch with you? Whenever I call the Waterloo location, that Matt guy will not transfer the call to anyone. Also there was no name left below...
Read moreI have spent a lot of time shopping for mattresses this year, and most stores have some kind of sales script that their salespeople follow. Since I had already bought a mattress from another Denver Mattress location this year, I already had a good feel for the types of sales gimmicks that they would try to use. Out of all the different mattress stores I have visited, Denver Mattress seems to have the most gimmicky sales pitch, with unscientific tests and demonstrations that, while they might impress the uneducated, do not carry much weight with anybody who has half a brain. This particular store was a little extra annoying, as the salesperson let it be known that he did not like my approach to mattress shopping. I wanted to press down on the mattresses and feel the response with my hands rather than lying on them right away, and he went as far as saying "You don't sleep on your knuckles, do you?" After a few similar comments from him, I felt more insulted than anything. Since I have already spent a lot of time shopping for mattresses, I was just tired of all the sales scripts at that point. I found this guy particularly annoying, because he wouldn't just let me do what I need to do in order to find what I wanted. Of course, they want you to lie down on the mattresses right away, but when I am spending my money, I am going to shop the way I want to. Sometimes, people just need to learn when to back off the script and allow the customers to shop the way...
Read moreThe salesman kept me waiting for fifteen minutes to give wonderful attention to the customer there before me. Awesome, I can wait for quality service! Except when he finally got around to me he behaved like I was wasting his time and couldn't be bothered to actually give me recommendations and walk me through. I'm young and wasn't looking for a $3000 mattress with a great sales commission so clearly I wasn't worth his time. I'm talking this guy was trying to walk away from the conversation and back down the stairs when I was trying to ask him how cool latex sleeps compared to memory foam. Another couple came in to look and he was constantly trying to edge away and assure them he'd be there in a moment. Funny, he didn't do that during the 15 minutes I was waiting. I'm sure the mattresses are fine but I'm taking my business somewhere that doesn't write you off for not being a high roller. It was like going to a freaking...
