Lost Island Waterpark & Adventure Golf & Go-Karts — Attraction in Waterloo

Not ADA friendly. Hardly any parking for handicap. The lines are backwards if you pay online you wait 20 minutes but if you buy same day there is no wait

They check your bags at the door with a stick for food and drinks. But you can bring a stroller. Some people even brought lawn chairs.

When you enter the water park there are no signs on where to go to do what. The right is bathrooms. Shockingly the lockers are hidden to the left. We didn't find them until halfway through the day. $7 for a locker. You will need it because everyone who got there at opening claimed every single chair in the park with towels. Even if they arent in those areas. It is very annoying. They are so ridiculous people will even carry a chair from area to area. I am disabled. I have mobility issues. There wasnt a single bench along the paths or near the pools to sit. And the chair hoarders made it a very long day.

The pathways around the park are hard to navigate because no map and the entrances are stairs. So not ADA friendly or family friendly if you have strollers. You get stuck walking around the entire park. The pathways are tall hills. So hang on to the rope tight when u are going down hill in wet slippery shoes with a stroller.

The lazy river was very nice though. The landscaping was excellent. The park is very pretty.

The food area line takes about an hour. People were having picnics in the parking lot to avoid that.

There are 4 swim areas. Baby area which was very underwhelming. The sprayers are broken. And there is barely any water to swim in. My 2 year old was bored fast. Again no chairs available. They should install cubbies so people dont need to put towels on chairs. Theres a bigger area with 3 water slides. This is a kid area but not friendly for anyone under 8 or 9. The water slides are fast and deep. Little kids should nor go alone on these. Which is crazy because the rules say 1 person per slide. But you see adults having to take their kids down the slides. There are lots of teenagers hanging around too. So this tells you the area is not great for small kids. Which is disappointing because the other area was not good at all. Wake pool. This area was fun. But still no chairs or area to park stroller.

The go karts are not at this park. Where they were we didnt know because theres no maps posted. They are somewhere else according to staff. The theme park is down the road. They want $67 for a day to go there. This isnt nice like the dells where everything is under 1 ticket price. Super expensive so u can only do 1. Overall this park needs work to be family friendly and...

The slides were fun. But this made me over water parks. They are fun but of course you spend your time waiting more than anything. I feel as 2023 we should be more efficient on how to lessen the times to spend in lines. ESPECIALLY the food. Maybe the park they’re producing in Oklahoma will get with it. If I can’t bring in my own food you guys need to improve on the time we receive food or find a different system. You have a cafeteria for the theme park that’s basically grab and go but you don’t apply that to your water park?? from the time I got there- I got there at 10:30, we left at 3. There was constant long lines. I waited over an hour standing just to get food!!! Seriously you’re always gonna have the people that get park food no matter what. You’re not gonna struggle with those sales. It didn’t even matter what time I went and got food. I’m just saying, I wasted more time standing in lines than doing anything. My other complaint was is the lazy River. When I think of lazy rivers I think of relaxing or hanging out. I’m not sure why creators think I/people want water pounding/shooting at my face from side waterfalls or overhead hanging stuff. I want relaxing mist sprayed or something that’s not as rough! If I wanted water dumped on me I’d go play with the kids by their part of the park. Also make one where there are no kids aloud or make a rule that you can’t be messing around as much & enforce it more, have the lifeguards stand in the water.. idk. But I had a group of kids that were constantly jacking around so close to me that caused me to slip out of my tube.— I’ve been to many lazy rivers where you don’t need a tube. I had a kid lifeguard scream right at me asking why I didn’t have a tube. I’m sorry it’s not that big of a deal if I don’t have a tube. What’s a big deal is the kids that are jumping on each other constantly & disrupting peoples time. I saw after I got out you have to stay in your tube for ‘safety reason? I understand every park is different and has rules but good god. Maybe scream at the kids that are constantly getting on and off of their tube instead...

The lifeguards are not trained properly to deal with adults all they can do is boss around kids. Management does not listen when you have compliant they already have there mind made up before they talk to you. They let someone move our chairs out of the shade even as a lifeguard watched this then wouldnt let the lifeguard speak to what she saw. THEY RUINED WHAT WAS A GREAT 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND AND WISH 0 STARS WAS AN OPTION. Spend the extra cash and go to the dells...I'm sorry to see that you were so worried about a bad response from us because you know you your staff were im the wrong you ran back to your office to write a bunch of lies to make you and your park look better. Yes you may have have gave us a refund but that is because you know your staff handles the situation wrong. Your so called aquatic manager told me to take my stuff and leave which i did and he was going to make the other party leave that area also, but instead he went and talked to them, bellieved their lies and shook their hands and then he came over and told me and told me to leave the park so he lied and went against his word. Your park still ruined our holiday was s disrespectful to my gf's handicapped and older mother and you didn't bother to compensate us for any of that or the locker rental gas to get there or even listen to anyone outside of your staff on what really happened.We saw them move our stuff asked the lifegaurrd to do something about it and nothing was done. BOTTOM LINE YOU LIE TO MAKE YOU AND YOUR STAFF LOOK BETTER. When the truth is your staff is poorly trained and you dont know anything that goes on at your park you even said on the phone call I made to you all you do is sit in your office behind a desk all day.
