I had the pleasure of getting a tattoo from Jerri at Villain Arts – Chicago, and she knocked it out of the park!
My tattoo healed exceptionally well, and the colors are so vivid. The shading is so accurate and detailed that folks have said it looks drawn on with colored pencil. Four months later the piece still looks fresh! Jerri also was just a delight to be tattooed by! We were in a loud and packed environment, but she still took extra care to make sure I was comfortable, had what I needed, and even chatted with me over the boomboxes and general convention noise.

Read moreThe only thing I dislike is the unfairness in opportunity to get an appointment. It’s clear on social media that they only tattoo clients they’ve had in the past. I completely understand if the client needs multiple sessions. But when books close, you shouldn’t see the same client getting new work done on different occasions. I’ve been waiting three years to get my second tattoo done. I’ve always sent my email request the moment their books open up. But it seems like I’m just always overlooked, or not chosen. Read moreI am sure they do great work however I will never know. They set me up for a consult two weeks out during the week.
I took a vacation day for the consult. The artist was late. The consult took about 15 minutes. Then I was told to call in May to see if there might be an opening for possibly June.
I understand being busy however, why set up a consult approximately 4 to 5 months before you might get an appointment.
I even asked about the other artists who work there. Apparently they are all busy until May/June.
