Discriminates against nursing mothers!
With the amount of small children that go here, you would think they would have a nursing mother’s station, but they do not. I had several family members staying at the hotel (in multiple rooms), so we went and bought a day pass. My wife and I brought our new baby with, and since there was no nursing area in the waterpark, she went up to my families room to nurse.
Around 6:30pm, my wife tried to take the baby to the room, and they told her since we only had a day pass, she was not allowed to go to a room to nurse. My wife asked where she was supposed to nurse at, and a female employee told her to go nurse in a bathroom stall in the water park. Anyone with a baby knows this is gross and not realistic. My wife came back down to where I was in the waterpark in tears telling me that she was humiliated and didn’t know what to do. One of the members of my family staying at the hotel went with her and again tried to take her up to the room at which time she was denied. My father who was present, told the staff that what they were doing ‘was bulls___,’ and walked away. After much debate with staff and a manager, the manager finally agreed to look for a conference room near the front that she could nurse in.
I thought the whole ordeal was done, but an hour later, multiple security guards hunted down my father in the waterpark and detained him regarding him using profanity inside the facility (saying ‘bulls___’ to a staff member, no children were present). Apparently they decided after an hour to poke at the situation again. Pretty sure they were looking for a reason to eject us. I spoke to security and asked them what would have happened if my wife would have just nursed in public. They stated that it would be another bigger issue that they would have to deal with.
I get that they limit people going to hotel rooms to limit parties and such, but a female with a newborn baby trying to nurse when you don’t accommodate nursing mothers inside the waterpark (other than a bathroom stall)? Where do you draw the line between enforcing the rules and...
Read moreBooked the Ultimate Party Package with a room rental, pizza, drinks, and cake provided. The young staff booking us in was polite and tried to accomodate us. We entered to room 5 minutes after our booking time due to some confusion over wrist bands. The pizza took another 10 minutes to arrive after knocking twice on the door. I had to ask for our drinks (not ready/not what we ordered either) which arrived another 10 minutes without straws. Another 5 minutes passed until they brought straws. The cake came with candles. Our party didn't start to eat until about 25 minutes after our scheduled time due to the delays. Barely had enought time to eat & open presents due to the pizza and drinks being brought in late. We hurried to get all the gifts and personal items out of the room. While I was getting the kids ready to go swimming for the next 3 hours, my husband was loading the car. He thought I grabbed the rest of the cake that was leftover, I thought that he had grabbed it. The staff threw out the cake without even asking anyone. When I came back to request it, the young girl told me they threw it away. That it was my fault that we weren't out of there in time. I told her I was very disappointed. I did not raise my voice or ask for a refund or discount, simply walked away. Two adult guests at my party overhead this young girl complaning to a coworker of the situation. My issue with this is 1) extremely unprofessional to complain about guests that just threw down $700 in preparation for this party. 2) Very poor double standard that your staff was unprepared, late, and we didn't have enough time to eat, open gifts, and remove our personal items from the room. 3) Saw a boxelder bug floating in the hot tub, out of 10 I would say the indoor water park was a 6 for cleanliness. I would like to add that the young gentleman checking us in was very kind, helpful and the security guard was extremely kind and accomodating. However, we will not be returning. I am not the kind of person to ask for refunds or discounts. I just will not...
Read moreI can echo the reviews about the place REALLY going down hill. My family has been coming here since country springs , at least one to three times a year. Like many others have said, its very disappointing. My fiance proposed at a near by restaurant, then our family spent the weekend here. Tagged the facility on Facebook (country springs) they even personally congratulated us. This place was sentimental.
There USED to be a lifeguard at the kiddie area (also a common complaint on reviews, I went threw them to see if this trip was a fluke) and also one at the bottom kiddie area. Also like others have mentioned, the log rope area was also supervised. I remember kimy now 8 year old would get the whistle blown if she even touched the rope before another kid was off and out of the area. Today I nearly had to jump in after her as she was stuck under the "paddle, logs" whatever you want to call them.
Hotel room, don't even want to go there, dirty, pizza box left on closet. House keeper had enough time to draw a heart by her name, but not enough time to properly clean the room? Sheets were stained, asked for new bedding they left it outside door for me to make originally. That's when a manager approached me, asking if I requested bedsheets. That's a whole different story. If you leave the latch out after being told someone was immediately fixing their mistakes it's your responsibility to make sure after your doors shut with all your personal belongings.
Icing on the cake, my daughter and her friend had to listen to a bunch of yelling in the hall following the police getting involved.
I was reimbursed $100, money can't replace something sentimental. It was pretty awesome coming here and seeing the same employee whom I genuinely enjoy seeing. I wish management didn't sit there and argue with me, I probably wouldn't be writing this. Customer service is everything in hospitality. I could have been upset and a nod and okay I would have been over it five...
