Mazanet Marina — Attraction in Waunakee

Highly disappointed in the professionalism and service here. I signed a contract to store my boat here over the winter a couple months ago. I called on Monday to arrange a lift-out, and scheduled one for Saturday. Called and confirmed everything on Friday and scheduled a time. I show up on Saturday and was told they could not lift out my boat because the worker did not show up in favor of deer hunting. I had a crew of people there to help me winterize the boat — all of whom had their day wasted because the inability of Mazanet to execute their commitment. They offered for me to dock there, and they would pull the boat on Monday. An inconvenience, sure, but one I could live with. A few days pass and on the day they were supposed to lift out the boat, I called to ask how it was going. “We will call you back in 20 minutes,” was the response. Well, two hours later and having received no call back, I phoned again. Apparently, my boat is too heavy for them to pull out at their facility! What a surprise for me to learn, considering one of the first questions I was asked months ago was for the specifics of my boat to confirm they would be able to store it. As a result of this all, I had to scramble to find another facility to pull and store my boat in short order.

I had my engine serviced at this place. Because of a delayed pick up, they charged me a crazy amount of storage fees. They were not willing to even consider to discuss a compromise. In fact they were very mean from the beginning, even used inappropriate offensive language and threatfull behaviour. They refused to give me an appropriate receipt for the storage cost, but instead scribbled on my previously signed service agreement with my signature on. I paid the full balance, because it was not in my league, to deal with this kind of inappropriate and aggressive behaviour. I will file a complaint with the better...

We called before the weekend to see if we could rent a slip for the weekend. Guy said he wasn't sure and told us to call back later. We ended up renting a slip at a neighboring Marina that didn't really have any services. When we were finished we called and asked if we could pay to use the pull out at his place ask for the cost and he told us that it would be busy for a few hours refused to give us a price and that was that. We found a place down the road to pull the boat out they didn't charge us anything. Will use that place...
