This was a deeply disappointing experience, and a complete waste of our time and money. We drove 45 minutes with a group of seven, including excited children, after calling ahead to confirm we could use a lane for open bowling until 3 PM. The employee on the phone said we were good to go.
However, when we arrived at 1 PM, we were told we couldn't bowl because the entire alley was booked for a party starting at 3 PM. After 30 minutes of trying to calm our family down, we finally convinced the employee to let us have one lane. We paid $50 for what we were told was an hour and a half of bowling, but our experience on the lane was poor. The staff did not offer bumpers for the kids, and when a ball got stuck, it took over 10 minutes for someone to come help us. This felt especially disrespectful since the employee was aware we were on a tight schedule.
Ultimately, our game was shut off at 2:30 PM, a full 30 minutes earlier than what we were told we had paid for. It's a bad business practice to take a customer's money with a verbal agreement and then go back on your word.
