Our journey through Washington wine country brought us to Callan Cellars’ Chelan location — and what a perfect introduction to the region it was. Perched above the lake with sweeping views and a welcoming atmosphere, this destination sets the tone for a truly elevated Chelan wine experience. The venue is more than just a tasting room — it's an immersive escape. Set on a beautifully landscaped property with terraced outdoor seating, a cascading waterfall, and blooming gardens, it invites you to slow down and savor every sip. The cozy on-site Airbnb cabin, crafted with stones pulled from the historic tunnel excavation, adds a rustic charm and gives visitors the chance to turn a tasting into a full weekend retreat. Whether you’re relaxing at one of the hillside seating nooks with a glass of Grenache in hand or exploring the grounds lined with flowers and local art, Callan Cellars Chelan strikes that rare balance of elegance and laid-back comfort. The wine? Outstanding. Lisa Callan’s signature small-lot style shines here — expressive, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in Washington’s potential. Pair it with a curated menu of small bites, and you’ve got a sensory experience worth sharing. Bonus: The venue doubles as an event space — ideal for intimate celebrations framed by lake views and vineyard air. Verdict: Start your Chelan wine adventure here. Callan Cellars offers not just great wine, but a setting that feels like a personal invitation into the heart of Washington’s wine culture. Thanks to the Callan Cellars Team for a great experience! -Tim Reha

Callan Cellars is a true gem in the Lake Chelan wine scene. The staff is warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about wine… they make every tasting experience feel both educational and relaxed. It’s clear they genuinely care about the community, often referring visitors to other local businesses and supporting fellow winemakers, shops, and restaurants. Winemaker Lisa Callan is the heart and soul behind it all…down to earth, approachable, and fully hands-on in every aspect of the winery. From crafting each wine to personally curating the tasting room design and guest experience, her attention to detail shines through. You can feel her passion in every pour. If you’re in Chelan, don’t miss this stop. Exceptional wines, stunning setting, and truly good people.

Beautiful buildings inside and out, with shaded outdoor seating near a waterfall. Danielle was our host, and even though it was busy and she was the only person there, she was attentive to everyone, conversational, and just very pleasant. The tasting fee is $20 for 4 pours, waived with purchase of 2 bottles, which were all reasonably priced. There is a darling market next door which is also worth a visit, so this is a fun stop with several things to do.
