This is a magnificent park associated with the Milwaukee County Park System. In my opinion, it is among my three favorite parks in Southeastern Wisconsin. There is such an abundance of wildlife, especially birds. They have double-crested cormorant, green/black-crowned night/great blue herons, wood ducks, common mallards, and an abundance of small birds (warblers and such). There are white-tailed deer, common snapping turtles, american bullfrogs, raccoons, and various insects. The inlaid trails of the forest are amazing and almost majestic. I can't wait to re-visit and take landscape photos for the audience. There are four major bodies of water on the west, north, and northeast regions of the park. Some of these surrounding trails are a bit overgrown with foliage, so if you want to really hike it bring long clothes and bug spray/vaporub. You may hear some noise from Cool Waters, but it's calm most of the time. Enjoy your visit, and I hope my review will assist you!

The pool is perfect for smaller kids mostly. There is a cool area for big Kids/adults. I appreciate the staffing of the many lifeguards and the fact that they stay on top of kids running or causing any problems. This makes it safer for the babies and toddlers to enjoy the wading areas. The pool and area surrounding it is clean. The bathrooms are not so clean and the changing areas are so terribly disgusting I thought I might come home with a disease by touching anything! So if you're planning to go, plan on NOT using the dirty diaper changing station or changing rooms. I also think there should be a discount for a second adult coming with a kid. I saw a lot of grandmas not swimming but there to just watch belongings or the baby not swimming. Seems rather stupid they have to pay 5 to 7 dollars to do this.

Me and my husband got married here on sept 22, 2018. It was a big mistake to have it at the pavilion! Tables were set up wrong so we had to switch them around before set up, trash was never picked up like it was started it would be in the contract, once the sun set the bathrooms were dark and you couldnt see in them, a "park ranger" came to the hall at 7 saying he was going to charge us for extra hours when in actuality we had the hall until 9pm (once we showed him the contract he just left without fixing the bathroom lights), and then at 9 when he was supposed to be there I had to call him to lock the doors after sitting waiting for him for awhile.. it's absolutely ridiculous that we had to go through this on our wedding day.. I have contacted numerous people but constantly get the run around and get told to call a different person who can handle it.. I definitely do not recommend this hall for any...

I'm a senior citizen and live not far from the park. I treat it like my own home. I pick up garbage, and cans that people obviously don't know what a garbage can is let alone caring. Most of these people come from the north side. I wish the pool would stay closed for the summer, people park in front of my home and leave full diapers, food, garbage, cans, bottles and other various types of trash. It keeps me busy in the summer months. Imagine have to put my home up for sale just to put distance between these people and myself. Aside from that the park needs help. What can I say, as the country goes bla bla. I don't blame prez he is only one man. I blame mke county. We use to have a park we could be proud of. Trees, streets, flora same old, Same old.it seems beauty has lost its place in America...
