I have always loved this museum and the beautiful airy spaces they provide for art and imagination. It is a fabulous venue for weddings and community gatherings. The acoustics are amazing and the exhibits and events are widely varied and locally interesting snd engaging. Membership is affordable, too. Recently, we waited over an hour for the Ho Chunk outdoor ash basket material demonstration, but the artists did not not show or contact the museum. It was disappointing and a bit worrrisome. The actual basket making class seemed well-attended so that was good.

One of the first pictures you see are from an artist that obviously takes lots of drugs. Of course I loved it. The best artist was Carl Von Marr. He was really into Sci-Fi and you could tell. He had a painting that had a priest vampire (the flagellants), another had a zombie baby (Summer Afternoon), and my favorite was the one with Anakin Skywalker from Star Was the Phantom Menace (The Adoration of Christ). You can see my pictures on here that show the close-ups if you cannot find them. This place has some really freaky stuff and I absolutely loved it.

As a person who has visited more than 200 museums over the world, entry cost a bit overpriced. Great idea to cover the entrance fee by making 2 person donation discount. It is an hour long museum unless you want to dive into the details of “everything”. Overall, building has great modern architecture which fits perfectly to the city, even interior is worth to take some photos, collection is not extraordinary but exciting to see. If you are passing through, definitely worth to stop by.

A magnificent piece of architecture with a wealth of variety in the works displayed. It is smaller but, has works from traditional oils to modern mixed media. It is always spotless and the gift shop has a nice selection at all price points. I only rated it a four because, I would rate the Louvre a five.
