ORGANIC PRODUCE STAND & U-PICK CORN MAZE & FARM ATTRACTIONS
C&C Reading Farm Plymouth County, Massachusetts
My wife and I had our first visit there last weekend and the produce and dairy was so good that we're going back today, just six day later. Now I am craving their eggs. Fruit and vegetables are all grown and picked right there on their 75 acre farm. We met Lynn (the owner with her husband and kids) and she told me about the multiple smaller farms they've had over the years in the region, and a bit of their family history. Wow! This is our new cool destination 'food source' spot. Ground coffee, honey, fresh milk, fresh corn...
Here's from their website:
"fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs at our Farm Stand. Pick-you-own strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and pumpkins. Fresh-cut flowers, fall decor, and heirloom seeds. Specialty items including honey, jams and jellies, free-range eggs, baked goods, and more. Community Supported Agriculture farm shares..."
By my thinking it makes perfect sense to find good sources of food, support them wholeheartedly, and to build friendships in and around the event. What an experience for young and old, this is a wonderful place to learn about where food comes from, see a working farm in action, and to collect all sorts of great stuff for fun and healthy...
Read moreI come here as often as I can! I absolutely live for their Like Acai sold frozen. It's a game changer if you love Acai bowls as much as I do!!! It will save you a ton of money. I've never had an issue with any fruits or vegetables and I love that they are always expanding their products. A few months back I asked about granola, which they did not have at the time. Upon my last visit, I saw that they did.
On top of being the perfect place to buy fresh and local, they are an absolute blast for a family day! The Summer is filled with fun activities for kids and there is always something new. The Fall and Winter also have their share of family events at a price anyone can enjoy.
My favorite part is coming to say hi and feed the animals. Feeding the emu was an absolute treat. I hope they continue their amazing job, because I look forward to making family memories here for...
Read moreIf you’re an animal lover, DO NOT GO. This place does not care for their animals properly, resulting in them being sickly. The baby animals were all coughing, had no access to fresh water and were not being supervised at all while around the public. There should be multiple workers in the petting zoo to observe the public handling their animals and ensure they are loved properly. There was one untrained employee in the barn with 30 unmonitored customers. There was an 11 year old driving the cyber truck towing families behind it in the train. The driver did not care or tend to the woman that fell out of the train when parked. The other passengers rushed to her aid and got her back on her feet. The lack of customer service is highly annoying but not as annoying as every worker flashing you a card with a QR code to “rate” them. Do better, for the...
