CVS Pharmacy — Attraction in West Hartford

THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE PHARMACY ONLY I was denied a prescription because they told me it was too soon to fill & my insurance would not fill it. They had already sent me a text on the 24th of June saying that this same prescription was out of stock & they would let me know when they had it in. I tried to tell them that this prescription is from a new provider as the old prescription was written by a provider who no longer works at the clinic where I have been going for the past two decades. I might as well have been talking to a brick wall. The interaction with Ure the Rx. Mgr & the Ass't Mgr went downhill from there. It is now June 27th and I still don't have my prescription. This CVS is a block away from my house and I have been a pharmacy customer for as long as I can remember. There is so much pharmacist turnover. If CVS corporate were smart, they'd lease the empty space right next to this location & build out just for the pharmacy. It would make it more efficient and much better for the staff...

Just now, my wife needed an inhaler bc asthma, but we had an issue with our insurance company and couldn’t get it until tomorrow. We were both pretty stressed about this. The pharmacists were incredible in helping us and told us we could pay with cash and CVS would reimburse us after it’s covered by insurance. They then found some coupon, so we only paid about $30 (included another medication for the asthma) when it was said and done.

They also clearly expedited this given the urgency, as it wasn’t supposed to be ready for another 30 mins.

Loved this CVS, not anymore. I went there twice both times an hour before closing to deposit money into my account. The cashier said she already cleared the register so she’s not doing it. An hour before closing? What about all the other customers paying for stuff within that last hour? And what made it worst was her attitude about the situation. You still have an hour left in your shift, don’t be lazy about it. I would understand if it was against company policy but I’ve been going to this CVS for years and I went 30 minutes, 20 minutes before closing and deposited money into my account...
