Panaderia Pan Del Cielo — Restaurant in Hartford

I came here about a week ago and the lady who served me was amazing!! I don’t speak Spanish but the lady who was working spoke English and Spanish and was fluent in both. I love coming to the bakery. So I came back today and the lady who was working didn’t speak any Spanish and because I didn’t speak Spanish, she was rude the entire time I was here. I had to repeat everything I said four times and she got mad at me when she couldn’t understand what I was saying. The total came up to 19.11 and I gave her a 20 dollar bill and I told her to hold on because I had the change and she slammed her hands on the register after it opened and was mad I gave her the 11 cents. All she had to do was give me a dollar back. But she was trying to give me change back and I told her why are you giving me change back if I gave you the 11 cents. All I need is a dollar. And she went to the calculator because she thought I was wrong and once again started to give me change and I said no. That’s not what you’re supposed to give me back. I gave you 20.11 so you give me a dollar. It is not that hard and she went right back to the calculator and the. Finally gave me the dollar. Threw my dollar on the counter and walked away. I would come back here if there were another person working. I used to come to this bakery all the time with my grandfather and I had awesome memories here. Got two tres leches cakes from here, one for me and the other for my daughter. We waited until after dinner to eat them and when I took my first bite I realized it tasted weird. It smelled like off milk and it was also very dry because they do not soak the cake. But I tried to eat a second bite anyway thinking maybe it was just me. After that second bite I tried to eat the cherry and as soon as I bit into it, I got the strongest taste of alcohol and spit it out. It actually burned the back of my throat that’s how strong it was. I don’t know how long that cake had to be sitting there for the cherry to ferment like that but I have never experienced anything like it. My poor 10 year old daughter ate half the cake even though it tasted spoiled because she didn’t want to make me feel bad. I’m praying that we don’t get food poisoning. My Wife & I decide to go to this panaderia for our first time... being we just moved here it was close. We go in expecting the best, & with an appetite ordered two Tripleta sandwiches among a couple of other things that are premade. Now mind you we were the only one's there when we ordered. Four other people came in, and somehow got their orders before we did. After a 20 min wait the lady tells us there had been a mistake that they had given our sandwiches to another lady who called in an order for tuna sandwiches... she continues to say it will be a couple of minutes to get our order. 45 min later we walked out with our sandwiches. My issue is the lack of customer service, & lack of detail. Everything could've been handled differently. You could've given a refund for our wait or at least had offered something for our inconvenience. Being it wasn't our mistake...
