Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania — Attraction in West Mifflin

I used to look forward to coming to this store for various reasons — first of all, the staff is incredible and obviously care about their store. Items are visually arranged so nicely & even though I am not a regular here they always remember me when I get to stop once every month or so. I have a problem with one thing and one thing only — the growing trend I see is selling used vans shoes with no laces for $19.99 and up. A donated pair of shoes should never be more than $15 — to purchase vans laces you’re going to spend $10 and then you’re at the sale price of a new shoe. A vans shoe is not a designer!! I used to come home with so many items from this store however I notice the color tag of the week less and less on the racks… this is constructive criticism because I really think this store is great & doing everything else right. But I go out of my way to come here & I am finding I have less...

Alot of what I would call "clothing waste", Undesirable styles and brands. Think pleated pants and polyester sueded button ups. T-shirts with event/ small company names on them. All thrift stores have this stuff but this one seems to have more than most. The prices wouldn't be that bad if they quality of merchandise was better, or if there was some mixed in with the junk. Alot of this stuff I wouldn't pay a dollar for. If you are after anything with a modern/ desirable brand or style, this isn't the place to find it. Maybe they are putting the good stuff online.

This store opened in November 2017, so it's a very new store. My husband and I walked in to check out what they have. They have a good selection of clothes. I was able to find shirts that fit me and for my occasion. They have a lot of clothes and shoes. The back section has shelves of miscellaneous stuff... not that impressive but let's hope as more people donate to this store they have more desirable items. This is a great location for a goodwill store, and I hope the people in the surrounding communities will donate what they have to this store, so that people that don't have much money can come here and buy...
