We waited 15 minutes to be seated, no biggie. Our waitress (Jackie) approached us immediately for our drink order but we waited about 10 minutes to get a water and ice tea. When she finally brought them she took our order. I asked for an omelette with onions, mushroom, and spinach, a side of fresh fruit, and rye toast. My boyfriend got the chicken salad plate which has fresh fruit. As we waited I noticed our waitress Jackie getting annoyed and rolling her eyes with customers and other waitresses talking very loudly complaining about customers. Our food arrived and my fruit plate had one extremely small unripe strawberry although my boyfriend's plate had nice ripe cut strawberries. I apparently inconvenienced Jackie when I asked for another strawberry because her and the other waitresses preceded to speak loud enough for me to hear that I had nerve asking for it. She brought me ONE, yes one, more barely ripe strawberry with a side of attitude. I also got burnt toast but wasn't about to ask for them to redo it. Her attitude was unnecessary since neither of us was rude to her or anyone else. The manager of this Bob Evans should pay close attention to their employees. I won't ever come back because of Jackie's attitude and sub par food. And if anyone's interested this is only the second time in my life I left the server no tip. Update: My boyfriend had to use the restroom as I was paying the bill. Upon leaving he apologized for how long it took and informed me he has got sick. I can't say positively say but he believes the chicken salad was to blame. Him and I travel extensively for work and eat out almost every meal. I've been to Bob Evans across the country and can honestly say this was my first bad experience at one. Disappointing to say the least.

I'm not a fan of chains, but wanted to try out Bob Evans because it's described as "home style cooking." The lesson of my visit: be suspicious when a national chain claims to be similar to home cooking! There is no comparison. I've had some of their breakfast meats and they are extremely greasy. Also overpriced. The place, when you walk in, isn't as tidy as it could be too. Their Cobb salad does not taste fresh at all. The chicken is stringy and taste a bit frozen, exactly what you'd expect from low quality frozen meat at a national chain. The vegetables are limp and flavorless; so was the bacon. Their sauces are far too heavy, especially salad dressings. I believe they are known for their rolls and biscuits. I tried some of them, and they were mediocre. Not terrible, but not special in any way. They were mostly flavorless but had a bit of salt. The outside was hard, the inside was a bit softer. There's really no reason to eat at this chain unless you are pinched for time or have some kind of fondness for greasy chain food. There are places nearby that serve much tastier breakfasts (some even at a cheaper price!) and they are locally owned.

I wish I could give a better review but I found it deceptive and dishonest to say the least. To start, look at the picture on their advertised special. It shows fish, fries, coleslaw and tarter sauce. How about when my party ordered this item, the restaurant said nothing about being out of both items. Are you kidding me? So you charge the full price for the meal, and bring to the table just the fish and fries? No slaw, no tarter. Then when we ask, we're told you're out. Why not say so upfront so we could have selected something else? Also, there's a grocery store not 1000 feet away. You couldn't buy some tarter to get through the night? Turkey dinner same thing happens. Oh you wanted the sides that come with it? So sorry. But we won't tell you until after we serve you. My salmon was good. However, we had a surely waitress. The deceptiveness of this place was awful. Their regional manager needs to retrain staff and management.

My husband and I stopped at Bob Evans in West Mifflin this evening. We have never been treated so rudely as we were this evening. The waitress name Amber was the rudess person we have ever encountered at Bob Evans. My husband asked her if they had sprite to drink. She said I don't think so. My husband and I knew that they did since we love eating there. You would think being a new person and her first day she would ask someone if they had sprite. So when Amber came back with our drinks she just threw them on the table with the straws. The straw wrappers were wet. Instead of taking our order she rudely just walked away after spilling some of our drink on the table. I got up to talk to the supervisor her name was Becky and explain to her how rude our waitress was and how she just threw the drinks down and the straws and walked away. Becky said she would talk to Amber. Becky did apologize to me and asked what she could do she also wanted to see if I wanted to talk to her boss. I said I didn't! My point is you are a supervisor you should handle the situation and not pass it to your boss. My husband and I was so disgusted the way we were treated my Amber and decided to leave and spend our money somewhere else with better service. So we kept hearing it is Amber's first day, if this is the way she treats your customers on her first day..tgen you guys will be losing a lot of customers..my husband and I love Bob Evans but we will not go back..very disrespectful waitress Amber..treat your customers as if you care...i work in customer service and would not treat anyone like Amber did...sorry but I do not think this job is for her...disappointed...

I use to like going there, but i took my mom( she don't eat much) and can you believe they don't have senior citizens discounts there?I guess that's why everyone goes to eat- in- park 😡I also don't think you get nice portions at all for what they charged! I also gotta say they give you microwave sausages, REALLY the Bob Evans sausages in the store are the best !!I got the chicken dinner it was a frozen boneless chicken breast that dident taste like anything but a bunch of hormones:(( no flavor in the breading:(( ,I will never order that again I was expecting a chicken breast bone in like KFC! One more thing when you get the slow roasted roast beef (really delicious )there is not enough for the price you pay, seems more like a fast food chain instead of home made restaurant! !! I suggest crackle- barrel!!I love their portions and their chicken is delicious!!!! I did love their salads BUT when you trying to eat that here comes your food ,slow down and let people enjoy their food plz :))now they got their waitress pushing dinners on you nobody orders, and rushing you out the door to turn a table for tips like Apple bee's( BTW) when people are eating come back once to check is everything is good and if you need more water, coffee etc stop bothering us we are trying to...
