Made the Cut — Attraction in West Monroe

A good hairstylist can listen to what you want, get the gist of it, and then surprise you with a better version of what you described. These people are not good.

The hairstylists here have two modes. Mode One will do EXACTLY what you say, which is a problem because if I knew exactly how to cut hair I wouldn't need someone to do it for me! Mode Two will nod along while you describe what you want, and then give you half of it. You wanted your hair short enough that it isn't covering your ears at all? Well, half of your ears are still covered, and good luck getting them to understand that simple instruction. Out of about a dozen haircuts I left satisfied once.

They exercise no judgement while making the haircut, but good judgement is what I'm paying for! They never stop and ask themselves, "Would this look good, though?" They just do whatever they think you said and then look at you like, "You...

A friend recommended I tried Made the Cut when I commented on how great hair looked. I recently moved back to the area and needed a regular stylist to keep up my color and cuts. As a lady I was unsure how it would go since they seem more geared toward men. They do have a primarily male based customer profile, but I decided to give them a try. Kristy Jane listened to exactly what I wanted and I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair. She far exceeded my expectations with both cut and color. She really cares about what she's doing and listens to exactly what you want. I was so impressed. I highly recommend Made the Cut. I also watched Megan do quite a few haircuts while I was in the chair. She did a great job too! They were both so friendly and you could tell the customers really liked their cuts and appreciated they didn't have to wait in line...

I moved to this area in 2009. They have cut my hair since. The girls are professionals at what they do. I think just about everyone who has worked there under prior management as well as the new improved management ( THE DYNAMIC DUO ),,, has cut my hair including both owners. Truth is I’ve never had a bad cut from them ever and that’s over years getting cut every two weeks. I saw another review where someone said that were only satisfied 2 out of 12 times. I read that and immediately thought to myself but they came back not once not twice but ten times???? Something doesn’t smell right. Anyway if you’re looking for a nice fresh cut at a great price and super amazing people give the girls a shot and let them show you how they earn repeat customers business every single day!
