West Monroe Convention Center — Attraction in West Monroe

Terrible place! Unprofessional staff. I spoke with a man for a year about our wedding. We planned everything and then he quit the week prior to our wedding. I had to restate everything we had planned over the course of a year to the most incompetent woman it has ever been my displeasure to meet. I paid for 2 security officers and a popcorn bar along with several other things. Only one officer showed up. I'm still waiting on the popcorn bar. We had about 70 guests not show but instead of offering the leftover plates to guests or asking my husband or I what we wanted to do with them the staff claims they threw all of the food out. Afterwards I spoke with the girl and she assured me that we would receive a refund for the security officers, popcorn bar, and the plates. My wedding was December 7th and we have yet to receive the refund. Then she blatantly lied and said she had filed paperwork for our refund but had never done so. Today she emailed and stated we would receive an refund for the security officer but nothing else. Then blamed everything on the fact that she was new to the position and didn't get information regarding our wedding. DO NOT HAVE YOUR FUNCTION HERE! THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THEM 1 STAR WAS BECAUSE THE OPTION TO GIVE NONE ISN'T THERE. ALL the great reviews thus far have been because Darren was absolutely amazing at his job! The center has suffered a great loss with him leaving! I will probably be the first of many...

Hands down best venue to work with! Darren and his team made this the smoothest process and everything was set up like it was supposed to be! The location is great, the food is great, the team is amazing, what can I say! We will be renting the venue next year again!!! Thanks Darren and Jason for making this...
