Schuylkill River Trail - Betzwood Parking & Trailhead — Attraction in West Norriton Township

This is a great parking lot to park and run the trail that goes westbound along the river. But, just a heads up, its a little... how can I say this... skeevy. Allegedly, this is a very popular meeting place for gay men to casually meet and have "private" relations in public. While I have never seen anyone in the act, I have seen very peculiar behavior which lends itself to the allegations. Again, I've never had any problems... just don't be surprised if you see something that you didn't want to see. Or, maybe you did want to see it. In which case, I'm glad I could point you in the right direction......

Great trail to ride, run, roll or walk. It's long enough to get some great cardio on, and depending on where you are getting on, there are some good trails to her elsewhere from it. They are always taking care of it when it gets too bad in spots, and some of those other trails are getting full blown connections added to it in the near future. Look for the connector to the CVT...

The river trail is absolutely beautiful. I took it all the way around its about a 10k. The lower portion closest to the river is a pretty level smooth running surface. I took the upper route on the way back and it was like and adventure trail, a lot more difficult. Still an amazing run, one of my favorites.
