I went to that restaurant after attending my friend's wedding, we were a big group of friends and kids all over the place lol
First impression when we get to the place was a very traditional beautiful decoration. It represents the culture just right. Actually it brought me back to my home country vibes. Then I was curious how we all gonna fit in here :D I saw small tables in both sides which won't be convenient at all to us. But then we found a big sitting area with big long tables and buffet area around it. Exactly what we needed. We all sat comfortably even the kids were sitting on their chairs without bothering parents by sitting in their labs. First thing came salads and appetizers and it was my best part because it has all favorite tahina and papa gannoush and different kinds of salads. It was darn delicious 😋 Then not long after that, came the main plate on strollers like rice, beef, chicken and vegetables. We were all wondering how we gonna eat that after these delicious salads lol but we did it anyway and it was perfectly cooked and super yummy. I hope you have a branch in NJ guys so we don't have to wait for occasions in PA to go to you again. Finally, I must say the staff was super friendly and provided us with everything we needed like extra plates and forks. It's rare to find such a perfect, clean and atmospheric place like that here but I'm happy we finally found it at Aroma. Go try it guys, you'll never...
Read moreThis was our first visit. Our favorite place is in Wayne, but they stopped serving falafel, so thought we would give this a try. The restaurant is very pretty, although seating for 2 can be a bit cramped. We were lucky enough to be moved to a table for 4 after the crowd thinned out. The service was somewhat slow, but they were apologetic. It had been very crowded for a Saturday afternoon. We started with baba ghanouj, hummus, and falafel. Excellent. The pita leaves a bit to be desired. It's very flat and not that different to what you can but off a shelf at the grocery store. My friend had a chicken kebab with the grilled veggies. He said that it was good. I had the grilled veggies with rice. Very good. I ordered the dinner portion since that would be my only meal for the day. I'm glad I did. The lunch portion must be tiny. I think that $12.99 is a bit expensive for what I got. The temperature in the restaurant was very cold. It was only 40 degrees outdoors that day, so a little heat would have been nice. The food got cold quickly. Everyone ate with their coats on, which should have alerted the staff to the temperature. Overall, I think it's a good restaurant that just needs help with service and making guests...
Read moreWe were 6 in our party at this restaurant on a Friday evening. There were a couple of empty tables when we arrived, so somewhat crowded but not extremely crowded. We were promptly seated. A friendly waitress took our order after bringing wine glasses to our table when she saw that we were carrying a bottle (this is a BYOB).
Apparently, on Fridays and Saturdays they prefer that you place your whole order (appetizers and entrees) together because the kitchen has only so many cooks and if you order piecemeal your second order will go to the back of the line of orders waiting to be fulfilled.
The food was incredibly delicious! This is the best baba-ghanouj I've ever had in my life. The rest of the food was also really just very tasty. Some in our party are totally vegetarian while others are carnivores --- all were happy and went smiling home after the meal.
We also liked the fact that they did not rush us....this is probably not deliberate on their part -- more a side-effect of the limited wait staff and cook staff. If you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. But if you don't like to be rushed through your meal like most chain restaurants do, then this...
