UPDATE: We just did our 6th room at Legends of Xscape, and visited their new site near the developing NORA district. As usual, we had a wonderful time. Our latest escape was from the Abandoned Motel, and my team of 4 agreed afterwards that this was one of our favorites from Legends. We have found the game masters at Legends to be enthusiastic, professional, and highly knowledgeable about their rooms. Our hostess this time, Ollie, was fantastic. My team enjoys most themes except for horror. While there were some mild scares, I would say the Motel isn't 'too' scary. But it does have a creepy atmosphere and the immersive theme was wonderfully executed. The puzzles were interesting and appropriately challenging. This is a great room for 3 or 4 players, with plenty to see and do. If there was one complaint, it's that the acoustics are a bit worse here, due to the higher ceilings. There were a few times that we thought we heard an audio clue, but it actually came from another room. Other times, we couldn't clearly hear something that was intended for us. Fortunately, our game master was on point and, after watching us struggle for a few minutes, let us know that we had indeed missed an audio cue after solving a puzzle, indicating that something had opened. Out of the 6 rooms that we've done with Legends, Motel and Prison Break, which is also available at the new location, are easily our favorites. The new site looks great, and there is free parking available at two different lots off of a side street, although it may take a little effort to see the signs for "escape room parking".
OLD REVIEW: Just did our 2nd room at Legends of Xscape, and we again had a great experience. The hostess, Audrey, was just as friendly as the host we had last time. They do a great job of quickly prepping you for the room, including preemptively explaining how some of the trickier locks work, and that clues are not reused (a pet peeve of some escape room players). As usual, we're fairly stubborn about not asking for hints, but I really appreciate that they chime in if we've correctly solved a puzzle, but had trouble inputting the code or some other technical difficulty. I think that's fair. If there was one minor complaint, it's that we would probably enjoy more challenging puzzles. But the room was appropriately rated as one of their lower difficulty games, so we're looking forward to trying a harder one next time. The Friends theme was fun, with music, audio clips, props, and all sorts of fun things to make...
Read moreMan, where do I start.. My wife and I came down here on our honeymoon as escape room enthusiasts, and left with a serious addiction.. We completed all 5 rooms in 3 days.. I cannot say enough about the hospitality, the respect, the relatability, and the fun environment that Jody and Nick bring to the table. Nick was our game master for all 5 games and made every single experience and room extremely fun and challenging. The effects, unique designs, and the challenges you face in each room really take you out of reality and put you into a storyline you're trying to conquer. 12/10 recommend checking them out and requesting either one of those individuals as we spent way more than just the 60 minutes talking to them and sharing our own experiences in the game and life. Some of the most down to earth and fun loving people there are. You can truly feel the passion they have for the game and watching people be successful in their rooms. Cannot wait to be back to West Palm Beach, and hopefully they'll have another challenge waiting on us! Special thank you again to...

Our group of 6 went to the Pirate room, and it was a bit disappointing. The room was quite bare in terms of theme, I expected more thematic decor for the price per person. It felt like a bare room with random marine/pirate related objects in it, not quite what I was looking for. As for the game play of this particular room, I think it could use some work. Our fun factor ended up quite low at the end, because the lack of breadcrumbs and sequential clues left us needing more clues than we would have liked. Also the game master immediately responded to giving a clue when one person asked, instead of needing a group consensus before giving the clue. That would have helped the fun factor I believe, as we ended up with more clues than the entire group needed, just because one person was frustrated and asked and received clues immediately.
I would be willing to go back to this establishment and try a different room, but I wouldn't...
