I have never written a bad review as I understand how important they are for businesses but I’ve never experienced such bad customer service in my life. They told me I had to pay an extra 35$ for my 4th guest, which I agreed to and sent over my payment, which they charged right away. 3 weeks later I got a text that my card was charged another 45$ for the 4th guest. I called and of course, no one answers the phone (I’ve called that number a few times for that reason and to get the code to my room and no answer). And sent messages. After finally getting back to me they said “staff charged the 4th guest fee that was pending for processing”. Firstly, why do it 3 weeks later? Secondly you already charged me 35$ for the 4th person. And finally, why are you changing the price of the 4th person? I have written proof saying it was only 35$. It’s now been 2 days and they are not trying to rectify THEIR mistake on charging me twice. On top of that the check in is at a very late time (4pm) and trying to check in only 30 mins prior was such a hassle. And because they love charging customers, they said to check in at 2 would cost...
Read moreAvoid The Loft on Clematis at all costs. I was a loyal, returning guest who always left honest feedback. Some stays were great (unit 202, Feb 2025), others were awful (unit 603, Mar 2023 — tiny, poor water pressure, bad WIFI, overpriced). Despite that, I gave them another chance and rebooked unit 202 for Apr 2025, only to receive a shameful, disrespectful reply from the co-host, surprised I’d booked after “rating them poorly.” They kept bragging about their “Superhost” status while treating me with zero professionalism, harassing me, and canceling after the check-in time, forcing me to find last-minute lodging elsewhere. Airbnb reviewed the full correspondence and confirmed the behavior was unprofessional, shameful, and discriminatory. They refunded me and helped secure another place. I was left embarrassed and disappointed. A business that takes honest reviews personally and mistreats guests doesn’t deserve trust. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend The Loft on...
Read moreWe spent the weekend at The Lofts on Clematis - unit 301 and it was wonderful. The apartment was very clean and we had plenty of space for 2 people but the room would accommodate 4. The sofa bed was comfortable unlike most sofa beds. There were extra touches such as ear plugs and a sound machine which is very considerate since the apt is on a FUN busy street. We knew this up front and wanted to be close to everything. The location is awesome. We walked to restaurants, park, shopping and the Saturday Farmer's Market is right outside the building!! We had a 5 minute drive to the beach so it was the best of both worlds- downtown fun and relaxing beach day.
The parking garage is 1 block- Saturday and Sunday cost $5 for the day. Other days it is $20.
The building is secured with a code and check in was smooth and easy and the host was communicative.
We will be staying...
