I sincerely don’t understand why AMC locks its doors 15 mins after the last showing. I “missed” a highly anticipated movie because I didn’t want to sit through a mandatory half hour of previews. AMC simply isn’t respectful to your time. I walk in through the exit as other customers are leaving, and ask the staff if I can still purchase a ticket. The staff rudely tell me they are closed and to leave. I express to them that there’s still double digit minutes left in the previews, and that it’s entirely unfair to patrons. They got even more rude about it and one worker even exclaimed a joke at me? It was very rude and unsettling. So I asked the worker what they would do if someone had to retrieve something from their vehicle during the previews, or had to take an emergency / private phone call. The worker then tells me in that situation they WOULD let a customer back into the e building. I told the worker his logic makes zero sense, because no worker ever came outside to even see why I was trying to re-enter.
Regardless, I missed opening night to a movie I anticipated all year, was treated rudely by staff, and it’s all because I don’t want to sit through a HALF HOUR of previews like a capitalistic drone. Movie theaters should be open at MINIMUM an hour after the last showtime, not only for a situation like mine, but for any customers who still want to purchase concessions
You want to know why movie theaters are failing? Well this is why, unskippable advertisements that equate to 25% of the film I’m going to see’s...
Read moreI used to love this movie theater.. however last time my wife and I went for a date night, I bought my tickets on-line so we could show up at the time of the screening. When we arrived there were half-printed paper signs everywhere saying due to an error there was no popcorn. I typically dont get upset when things like this happen and had I not pre-ordered my tickets for the movie we would have just left. However we did not leave time to cancel our movie tickets so we decided to just stay and watch the movie since it was paid for. After the movie I emailed AMC customer service stating there should be a way to let online ticket buyers know when your movie theater has something wrong so that people dont pay 30 dollars for 2 tickets to find out what you are paying for is just an oversized TV. Again, the popcorn thing wouldn't normally bother me but I paid 30 bucks for the tickets and their customer service never even responded. I didnt want my money back, I wanted to know why they could still charge so much for a ticket knowing when we got there, there wasn't any popcorn. It seems silly but the whole reason my wife and I go to the movies is to enjoy popcorn and watch a movie on the big screen. Instead we ate soggy, greasy pretzels. Not too impressed with AMC customer service. At least acknowledge you're overcharging and intentionally not sharing information...
Read moreWas so very disappointed with the manager! We went to see the movie Homestead. I went to use the ladies bathroom before the movie started and the bathroom was down right disgusting! Another lady was in there and saw the condition of the bathroom and made comments about how bad it was. I went out and found the manager who was standing around talking with two other employees and looking at their phones. I told him about the bathrooms and then I went to watch the movie. AFTER the movie I went back to the bathroom and it was still in the SAME condition! This time there were four other ladies and they too were discussing how horrible the bathroom was! I proceeded to go back to the manager (who he and the same two employees were still in the same spot) and tell him, “I came out and told you BEFORE the movie about the condition of the ladies bathroom and I come out AFTER the movie and they’re STILL IN THE SAME CONDITION! What kind of manager is this? He’s getting paid to do a job and is trusted to do said job! I was not the only one to notice how bad this was! I didn’t get his name (should have), but he had...
