This is one of the prettiest pools in all of Yellowstone. It’s possible that the light was hitting JUST right. But either way, it’s a fantastic pool with colors that can’t quite be duplicated anywhere else. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the benches in the shade and enjoying the view...

Der Emerald Pool im Black Sand Basin des Yellowstone National Parks bekam seinen Name deshalb, weil sein blaues Wasser zusammen mit den gelben Thermophilen grün erschien. Heute, nachdem sich das Wasser etwas abgekühlt hat, sind die gelben Thermophilen weg und es sind orangefarbene angekommen. Zudem ist das Wasser nicht mehr so klar und erscheint farblich total anders. An Attraktivität hat der Emerald Pool deswegen überhaupt nicht verloren. Das abfliessende Wasser in den orangen Kanälen ist...

The color of water looks like an emerald, just like its name. The most amazing point is according to the information on the billboard, there are still lives which can live inside the hot and strong acid water, amazing!

Out of everything in the Black Sand Basin, this spot is probably the coolest. If you get lucky, you’ll get to see the deer come out from the forest behind the pool.
