A Steamy Wonderland: The Excelsior Geyser Crater blew me away (pun intended)! While it may not be erupting in its former glory, this Yellowstone giant is a must-see for any park visitor.
Massive Marvel: The sheer size of the crater is staggering. It's hard to imagine the power it once unleashed! Walking along the boardwalk and peering down into the depths of the bright blue, boiling water is an unforgettable experience.
Colors of Another World: The deep sapphire water is unlike anything I've ever seen. It's almost like looking into another geothermal world. And don't forget to look for the vibrant runoff flowing into the Firehole River - a beautiful reminder of the constant geothermal activity below.
A Window to the Past: Learning about Excelsior's history as a powerful geyser adds another layer to the experience. It's incredible to imagine the earth shaking eruptions that once took place here.
Easy Access & Otherworldly Sights: The boardwalk makes getting to the Excelsior Geyser Crater a breeze. Plus, you're right next to the Midway Geyser Basin, so you can explore countless other hot springs, mudpots, and geysers in the same area.
Uniquely Yellowstone: The Excelsior Geyser Crater is a true representation of the raw power and beauty of Yellowstone. It's a place that will leave you speechless and wanting to learn more about the incredible geothermal forces that shape this...
